Paul and Danielle saved our vacation!! We spent a week in San Blas, my wife and I with our 6-yr-old son. We selected a different boat (not Paul and Danielle's) - it was a very nice boat, but the roller furling (front sail) didn't work, the dingy leaked, the navigation system was down, the captain wasn't showing us much. Fortunately our captain knew Paul and Danielle - he asked Paul to fix the roller furling. Paul is a really nice guy, so he fixed it (in minutes) . . . and then Paul and Danielle realized just how poorly our cruise was going . . . and they took over!!! It was awesome!! They actually followed our boat for a few days to make sure all was OK, they showed us some of the best islands, they loaned us some kids games (Uno and Paddle Tennis) for our son, they even arranged our transportation. Why did they do this? Because they're really kind people. Paul and Danielle run a charter the way it should be done. This is the cruise you want to take.

San Blas es parada obligada en un viaje por Panamá que se precie. Para disfrutar de las islas durante más de 1 día existen principalmente 2 maneras: pernoctar en una cabaña en las islas o hacerlo en un barco. Nosotros éramos un grupo de 4 amigos y optamos por esta segunda opción, y no pudimos haber escogido mejor que en el Play To Live. Aun siendo 4 y tratándose de un barco, el confort a bordo fue total, disponiendo de 1 cama doble y 2 individuales para nosotros. En el barco hay de todo y en ningún momento nos sentimos apretados. Desde que llegamos Paul y Daniela se desvivieron por cumplir nuestras expectativas, lográndolo con creces. Básicamente nos dejaron marcar la agenda del viaje entre las actividades posibles y teniendo en cuenta las limitaciones del tiempo que nos tocó esos días: terminamos navegando a vela un poco, haciendo mucho snorkel, visitando unas cuantas islas, pescando y sobre todo mucho relax en cubierta. Sobre las comidas, nosotros decidimos ir con comida y bebida incluidas y fue un gran acierto: la competición culinaria constante entre ambos (ella cocinera profesional italiana y él muy apañado amateur canadiense) dio para que llenásemos el estómago mucho y bien y para que nos riésemos todavía más. Sobre esto último, las risas, a caballo entre inglés, español e italiano, es importante destacar que Paul y Daniela son supersociables, encantadores y apasionados con lo que hacen y con San Blas, y eso se respira y contagia en el trato con ellos, aspecto fundamental cuando se realiza una convivencia tan cercana como la que se produce a bordo de un velero. Sin duda los 3 días que pasamos con ellos están muy arriba en el ranking de experiencias de nuestro viaje por Panamá y repetiríamos sin dudarlo!! On a trip around Panama, San Blas is a must. There are basically 2 ways to enjoy these wonderful islands in a more-than-1-day-trip: either getting accommodation in a hut on an island or on board of a charter sailboat. We were a group of 4 friends and opted for this 2nd option, and we could have not chosen better than the Play To Live. Even though we were 4 people, we felt comfortable at all times and never felt cramped up. On board they have almost everything you can imagine. For sleeping, we had 1 queen and 2 single beds at our disposal. Upon arrival, Paul and Daniela made their best to fullfill our expectations, and they indeed succeeded. We got to manage the trip agenda according to our preferences and accounting also for the weather: we ended up sailing a little bit, snorkelling a lot, fishing, hopping some islands and relaxing on deck a lot. As for the meals, we booked fully inclusive and we hit the bull's eye: she is a professional Italian cook, he is a seasoned Canadian cook wannabe and they are in constant competition. This fact brought superb food to our stomachs and tears of laughter to our faces. As for the laughter, I must say that Paul and Daniela are extremelly charming, easy-going and passionate with their lives and with San Blas, and this fact emanates when dealing with them, making life on board easy and enjoyable. The time we spent on board with Paul and Daniela ranks top among our experiences in Panama... highly recommended!!

We can not explain how much we enjoyed sailing with Paul and Daniela. We had a 6 night charter and enjoyed every minute of it. The food was amazing, both are amazing chefs- you will never want for anything. They were great and generous hosts, asking us if we needed anything the entire trip. They took great care of us! The accommodations we're comfortable and the fans were a plus. We sailed to multiple islands, swam, snorkelled, fished, got to meet some locals, and had great conversations at night. A few Kunas/Gunas sailed up to the boat offering lobster, fish, octopus, the catch of the day or just to say hello to Paul and Daniela. They would be as involved or uninvolved as to you would like. We caught fish right off the boat, Daniela made ceviche with the Spanish mackerel we reeled in on day 1 and we grilled the red snapper for dinner we caught on day 5, amazing meals! We both love Italian and had the best calzones and pizza of our lives! Daniela and her cooking is a huge asset to have aboard. Breakfasts were amazing starts to the day, Paul's banana pancakes were delicious, as were his breakfast burritos and crepes. I even jotted down a few of Daniela's recipes for potato soup and a dessert I must try to replicate at home 😀 Paul taught my husband about fishing and sailing- his knowledge of sailing, the area, boating and fishing is something that can not be learned from a textbook. It is so interesting learning about boat life. We enjoyed the daily freshwater shower and the fresh watermaker and many items on board would be considered luxuries on others. I was interested to learn about the solar panels, the wind generator and sustainable living on onboard. They answered all of our questions. Even though there was room for more, it was nice knowing that once we booked, we were the only guests on board. It was beautiful sailing through dozens of uninhabited San Blas Islands and discovering the reefs around them. Dolphins played alongside the boat and while snorkeling saw tons of starfish, a few stingrays, lobster, cuddlefish, various kinds of fish, a couple of eels, and even spotted a shark one night before dinner. Paul and Daniela are kind, gracious and generous hosts and I could not recommend them more! They worked very hard to make sure this was an enjoyable experience for us and we appreciated it! They are super flexible and do whatever they can to make your experience wonderful. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back for more adventures with Paul and Daniela! Thank you both!

An amazing and very hospitable couple. That would really go to the Moon and back for the guests. We did snorkeling, island hopping, visited locals and we saw a lot of wildlife. Dani is an excellent Italian cook who made lovely food every morning, afternoon and evening. Paul is a very good sailor who know all the best places in San Blas. We got much more than we expected and this was the highlight of our trip in Panama and Costa Rica. If you go to the San Blas go with these guys.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing 4 day, 3 night trip on Play to Live. The islands are stunning, and Paul and Daniela did a great job of showing us around. Paul is an expert sailor and his boat is fully equipped--shower, sound system, desalinator for drinking water, all the cold beer you can drink, etc. Daniela is a legit Italian chef who manages to make some meals that would be incredible anywhere, but are even more impressive given the remoteness of the San Blas. If you're going to San Blas, you have to go on a boat, and Play to Live is a good one.

We engaged in a San Blas Sailing trip with Paul and Danielle! Our experience was beyond what we expected. They are experienced sailors and know San Blas really good. They took us to many spectacular places we usually you do not go when going to San Blas. Our experience started and ended with dolphins swimming beside the boat. Enhanced by snorkeling in very nice places. Got to see turtles, sharks, stingrays, starfish all kind of other nice fish. We enjoyed their company. They have really good meals prepared to us. My favorite Paul’s grilled chicken wings, simply yummie! Always with a nice cool beer, the best! We got to fish and learned some principles of sailing which made our trip match more interesting!

After a while from our trip Michael and I are still thinking of the pristine nature of San Blas Islands (Panama) with their beautiful crystal clear water, their white solitary beaches with palm trees and the pleasant presence of Guna People with their traditions and smiles. Sailing on board of Play to Live was the perfect thing to do in such a setting. But we always like to leave the best for last...and in this case...the fantastic banana pancakes of captain Paul and the succulent lasagna (also vegetarian if you like!) of the very Italian and so...expert cook Daniela! To name just some of the delicacies they offered us. We had fun, we relaxed, we laughed a lot and we would like to go back soon! So...if you like sailing and wandering around fron island to island at your pleasure, we highly recommend to go with this nice couple.

We spent four amazing days sailing through the San Blas Islands with Paul and Danny aboard Play to Live. We enjoyed catching fresh fish for dinner, sailing through the most remote and beautiful uninhabited islands and snorkeling over tropical reefs. The food on this charter was second to none with Danny producing the most amazing dishes and Paul’s banana pancakes being something to remember. AMAZING ADVENTURE ! Paul and Daniela were great. Very knowledgeable when it came to sailing, cant imagine having a different captain. The food was incredible all meals were very delicious, from banana pancakes to pizza. By far the best way to travel the San Blas Islas.They made sure to make it our trip, by having supplies for fishing and snorkeling to dropping us off on our own little island and providing us lunch.They made sure we always had a drink in our hand, and were very nice in making sure that we saw or did anything that we might want to see our do.I have family members booking trips with Paul & Daniela because it's a must do in this lifetime. Made lifetime friends.

We spent with Daniela and Paul a great moment and have great memories with them. The boat is really nice, onboard we lived a real sailing experience with Captain Paul and Daniela is a great cook, we enjoyed her meals everyday. We discovered San Blas island, snorkeled a lot and enjoyed grilled lobsters in a Kuna family. The cabin we slept in is very nice and Paul and Daniela are really awesome hosts!
