Holiday Rental House
1 Club Cottages is a traditional Derbyshire stone cottage, built in the 19th century. Some parts may go back to the previous century. The name of the cottage derives from a Shepherds Club that bought the cottage and then built the neighbouring two houses for members. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin single beds. The bathroom is on the ground floor. It can comfortably accommodate either four adults, or else a family of four. Sometimes more people have stayed in the cottage but its a tight fit! There is a travel cot. We have furnished the cottage comfortably, but simply. It has a Satellite TV and DVD player, also a small TV and video player upstairs. We also have an assortment of films. The house is heated by storage heaters and a solid fuel fir...1 Club Cottages is a traditional Derbyshire stone cottage, built in the 19th century. Some parts may go back to the previous century. About the neighbourhood
The village is surrounded by the gently rolling hills of the White Peak. It has a friendly pub which serves good food. There is a recently renewed children's play park. Our neighbours are friendly and helpful. Access to the Tissington Trail is just 400m up the road. This is a popular cycle and walking route.
Getting around
The 442 bus comes through the village several times a day, providing transport to the market towns of Ashbourne in the South and Buxton in the north. It has a very scenic route through the White Peak area. Also on the route is the beautiful villages of Hartington (the nearest grocery store) and Tissington. The Tissington Trail runs just beside the village and is great for cycling or walking in the area. Bakewell, Chatsworth, the Stepping Stones at Dove Dale and Alton Towers are all within 20 miles of Biggin.
