For the most part, the place was ok. Luckily for us it wasn’t very hot as there is a portable ac unit in the dining room and no where else (bedrooms, downstairs very hot). So it was uncomfortable to stay inside during the day with the little ones for their naps. The only other issue was what appeared to be a hardwired carbon monoxide detector in the hallway that had a broken cover. My son said he got a bit of a shock from it when trying to put the cover on. So had to ensure the toddlers do not go near it as it was hardwired in a plug near the floor. Should definitely let people know in the description that there really isn’t any AC, as the one provided was useless and only cooling the dining/kitchen area. Other than that, was again just “ok”

This trip was a celebration of my husband’s birthday/retirement. We had both or children and their families (6 Adults and 5 children) with us. On arrival to the place it was filthy and we had to clean every ceiling fan just to be able to safely run them due to large amounts of hanging dust. The cushions on the furniture were filled with garbage between them. The excuse that the housekeepers couldn’t do a proper job by the owner is because we had made arrangements to arrive to the property early but we’re to stay outside the house until they were completed the job. We were completely fine with waiting as long as was necessary, even until check in time. A day into the trip the on call water tank stopped functioning properly and the. The basement toilet started leaking. Both of the problems were due to neglectful care of the appliances and they had to get a plumber in to descale the hot water tank and tighten all the fittings on the toilet. The plumber wasn’t able to come until our last day. We had to survive with constantly restarting the hot water tank to be able to use hot water for washing dishes or getting a shower/bathe children and had to close off the bathroom with the toilet water all over the floor. The owner offered 100$ refund for the inconvenience. What a joke. Highly recommend not renting this unit. Not worth the money. The place is terrible. The location is the only thing it has going for it!

Just enough space for us! Indoor, outdoor and water activites meant no one was bored! This is a great lakefront property to enjoy with a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
