Amazing Experience and Wonderful Stay
We stayed at Haven in the Willows for over 1 month and all we can say is WOW! We loved the log home and our daughter began calling it our "Yukon home". Everything was so comfortable and enjoyable! There is everything you need from fresh towels to a big full stocked kitchen that made our stay that much more enjoyable! The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Yukon and it is right next to Kluane national park! We saw wildlife and visited Haines Alaska! This trip made us life long memories and having such wonderful accommodations made our trip complete! We even got to see the northern lights! The hosts were very nice and it was a pleasure meeting them and we can't wait to be back!

Still as Beautiful as Ever!
We stayed at Haven in the Willows a couple of years ago soon after it opened and were dying to go back. We finally lucked out and were able to book it for July long weekend. You can tell the owners really care about their property as it was still in perfect condition as it was years ago. So clean, so well stocked and they even remembered that we were repeat guests and left an appreciation gift for us. Now that's service which is something that can be hard to find in Yukon!! Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful and comfortable accommodation and for appreciating your guests the way you do! Already looking forward to our next stay!!

Perfect home away from home!
So many amenities, you'll want for nothing at the Haven! Fully furnished with the coziest linens, a fully stocked kitchen with all the tools even a top chef would need, TV, books and games for indoor days - the cabin itself truly feels like a home away from home. Beautiful views of the St. Elias mountain range, close by yummy restaurants and a delicious bakery, and a good home base for going out on day hikes and tourist attractions. Thanks Donna & Dan for helping make this a truly memorable trip of a lifetime!

Exquisite!
I first have to say, from the booking of our stay, right through to checking out, the owners of this property (Dan & Donna) were absolutely AMAZING! Friendly, polite, courteous and very quick to respond to our inquiry. This was our second stay at the Haven, and we just can't say enough how much we enjoy our time there. We spent an amazing weekend at the Haven and will take home some great memories. Finding a spot that is family friendly AND accommodating to well behaved pets is very difficult to find - finding a beautiful cabin, only an hour drive from Whitehorse, with ALL of the amenities - I thought it would be impossible. To have such a stunning oasis available for family getaways is an incredible privilege, and I am sure a rare find in our small Territory. Every detail in the Haven was very obviously well planned, and executed flawlessly - a luxury stay without the prohibitive price tag! Comfort is around every corner and it is very easy to leave the daily stress of life behind and just enjoy each other’s company. Our stay was once again extraordinary - we can't wait to visit again!

Would not recommend for those with pets or
As a group of 4 girls staying at Haven in the Willows we wanted to love our stay here. The place is beautiful and fully equipped with anything you might need. However, as we were leaving, Donna, the owner was very rude to us and to be honest, put a damper on our stay. We did not realize in the policy that there is an additional dog fee which is our fault. It also says no dogs on sofas. It does not say that dogs cannot be on the bed. We would never have let a dog on the bed had we known. Donna charged us $175 for a cleaning fee for a duvet. This is absurd and completely takes advantage of the fact that we made a mistake. There is a dog run that would not open and when we finally got it used the snow was way too high for our dogs. Donna complained that we did not clean up after our dogs when we did check and could not find anything they left. Donna also charged us for not informing her we were going to use the sofa bed. As Yukon girls, who rent cabins often, I would not recommend this place to my friends or family. There are much nicer, more affordable cabins whose owners are far more understanding, polite to their customers and fewer restrictions. We were 4 friends (2 pregnant) that just wanted to have a relaxing weekend away. This is not the place for that.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and being able separate your feelings from your experience of the luxury that Haven in the Willows offers to its guests; from the unfortunate incident that occurred once pet damage was identified in the property. Please remember our pet policy form was agreed to in advance of confirming the booking with Erin and it does clearly state the following: Furniture Pets are not allowed on the furniture or bedding. We encourage you to bring your pet’s favorite bed so “fido” can make himself at home too! We also ask that you use the designated pet dishes for food/ water and do not use the bowls provided in the kitchen as they are for guests use only. Damage(s) Owner’s agrees to pay to repair any damage in its entirety and pay for replacement costs of damaged item(s) if necessary. We do not feel these policies are excessive or restrictive; however we don’t feel comfortable having our guests sleep on bedding that was occupied by a pet the night before. I’m sure you can understand that. Please note that the charges of $100 was to have the duvet and duvet cover dry cleaned as it was full of black dog hair and urine stains. As stated in my email to Erin I will scan and email the receipt when the items are ready for pick up; but based on the quote I received at drop off it will be in excess of $100 that was charged to Erin. There was also a $50 charge for cleaning the furniture that had muddied paw prints as well as addressing the scratches on the foot board where the dog(s) clearly jumped off the bed. We do charge $25 for sofa bed and we were surprised it was used since it was checked “no” on the guest agreement and booking form. We are 1 of 2 vacation rentals in the Kluane Region that accepts pets and we were strongly discouraged to do so but we love our “fur babies” and recognize that they are part of the family too. However we still require their owners to be responsible for them during their stay. Thank you for staying and it is unfortunate that we are not able to see eye to eye in the matter. Dan & Donna

Wonderful Place to Stay in Kluane
We were two couples sharing this lovely house. The space worked perfectly for us. The house is just as in the photos and is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed everything from cooking our meals to lazing in the sun on the front deck. Of course, we also hiked in Kluane and marvelled at the views. Tip: Stock up with groceries in Whitehorse. The small grocery in Haines Junction has some lovely items but is very expensive for a large shop.

real Haven in the Willows
We must say that this property and its location is the best we stayed in during our 5 weeks in the Yukon and Alaska area. When you arrive in Whitehorse, you go to the Canadian Superstore to get all your groceries and drive to this location. The cabin is like the house you always wanted. The location is perfect to explore this part of the Yukon. You can easily drive to Haines and the cabin gives you a peaceful and relax stay. It is much better to stay here than in the busier Whitehorse area. You will enjoy this much more than staying there. The cabin has everything you need. We loved the area and will most likely revisit soon. This cabin and location will be the first to include in that itinerary. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your fantastic real Haven in the Willows.

Wonderful stay at Haven in the Willows
We're a party of four stayed at Haven in the Willows for three nights (June 14-17). Upon arrival we found everything was already prepared and setup just for us (towels, dishes, etc...). Photos and description were exactly as described in their website. Communication was prompt and smooth. It's a tidy, very clean, well-equipped, well-appointed beautiful two bedroom house/cottage. It had everything we could have ever needed. We loved the complete full line of spices, herbs and seasoning in the kitchen! We felt right at home in Haven in the Willows. Thank you Dan and Donna Moore for sharing Haven in the Willows and your hospitality with us!

Every detail attended to
This place was such a treat to stay in. We chose it because it looked nice and had what looked like a nice kitchen. When we got there it turns out it's even nicer than the photos show. Really nice place. Everything you could need to cook magnificent meals. I've never stayed somewhere that was so fully equipped! The beds were super comfy, there were games to play and a very good selection of dvds, tons of space to just cozy up with a book. A perfect getaway.

An absolute gem hidden in Haines Junction
Absolutely stunning and beautifully styled, this “haven” is the perfect getaway to find solace and reconnect with loved ones while enjoying beautiful views, surrounded by Yukon’s wilderness. To call this a “cabin” is an incredible understatement – spacious, cozy and elegant, the space was obviously assembled with comfort in mind. Immaculately clean and with all of the amenities, we brought only clothing and food and were not left wanting. We were only a few minutes from Haines Junction, but felt worlds away. We enjoyed coffee on the front deck in the morning sun and watched movies curled up on the sofa in the evening. A true weekend away without a care in the world. I am already planning a repeat visit, we enjoyed it so much. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway, or even a week long vacation – after two nights, we could have definitely stayed longer. So much to enjoy and very family friendly!
