Villa très bien équipée et pleine de charme, dans un endroit tranquille mais pas isolé, avec de jolis villages aux alentours. Une qualité de vie appréciable, avec un espace terrasse barbecue, une piscine à la "bonne température", la clim ... Stéphanos est un loueur très pro et efficace en restant discret. Peaceful, quiet and such a lovely place to stay.
This villa is simply gorgeous. Stefanos was in contact with me a few days before our arrival, and we exchanged phone numbers so I could update him on our arrival time from the airport. He met us at the villa to show us everything and give us the keys. He even introduced us to the tradition of having some local Raki which is produced locally in the village.
Stefanos is one of those people who really takes pride in his place, and this shows with how well kept this property is.
The swimming pool is wonderfully clean, and he comes on a regular basis to clean it himself. The property was immaculate. It was so relaxing sitting around the table outside, when the sun goes down, listening to the faint clink of goat bells nearby, and utter quietness. The villa is located on the outskirts of a small village, so if it's peace and quiet you are looking for, this is the place to stay.
The kitchen has everything you need, with generous amounts of cutlery. There is a washing machine should you need to do washing as well. Each room has an aircon in if you need it on a hot day, and they really cool the place down quickly.
I would recommend this place if you're looking for a great stay in Crete.

Villa aloni
Stefanos was a great host and villa along was an absolute delight to stay with family. It was very neat and clean with all amenities one can think of were available. Stefanos had thought of every little things to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
There were lime and pear with olive trees in the garden with a swing.
Early morning cup of coffee with an amazing view in the garden with a mountains in the backdrop and at pool side is second to none.
I would definitely recommend and would love to visit it once again.

Perfect mix of rural luxury
We had such a lovely time at this fantastic villa - a beautiful house, garden and pool, with all the facilities you'd need. In a stunning rural location with beautiful views yet also walking distance to one of the best real Cretan tavernas we've eaten at in Crete. And the owner Stefanos was great. We hope to go back!

WOW, Amazing property, location, just PERFECT
we arrived at villa Aloni at 11:30pm, the Villa was immaculate inside, however we didnt get the full view until we awoke in the morning to brilliant sunshie, the villa, gardens and pool looked amazing and the views across the Maza countryside and the Crete Mountains was breathtaking. we were met by the owner Stefanos who was friendly and helpful and gave us a bottle of the local fire water "Raki". This villia is truly a must if you are looking for a "Get away from it" break, however it is close enough to the local beach at georgopolis (3 miles) and 7 miles from Lake Koumas, a must visit. There are two tverna's in the tiny village of Maza. We spent most of our time at H Taverna, "Family Taverna" right by us and must thank Manolis and Claudia and their beautiful daughter Zambia for their hospitality, we had many great evenings there and the food is exceptional, We will be back, so sad to leave.

Amazing, Beautiful, Perfect.
It is simply a little piece of paradise. Everything about the place is just gorgeous, but much more than that, you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. As you can see by the pics, the garden is amazing and very private, the pool is a good size, there's an outdoor BBQ, the view is sensational, the house inside is lovely and tastefully laid out and decorated, it's very clean, there's a bath, there's free wifi, there's a four poster bed in the master bedroom and the list goes on. The village itself is tiny and real traditional Greek and the people are very welcoming and lovely. We ate in the little restaurant in the square almost everyday, you pass it on the right as you first enter Maza. Kostas and his family own and run it and the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. Again, traditional Greek with quality ingredients and a really reasonable price. We ate in loads of places in Crete but Kostas was the best by far.
We stayed in Villa Aloni for our honeymoon, just back yesterday and we are already planning to come back next year. I think we'll be coming back here for years to come and hopefully with kids down the road as well. Just can't say enough good things. Amazing!
One tip, you definitely need a car. We always planned to rent one so wasn't an issue for us but just in case you weren't planning to, you really do need one.

Lovely peaceful beautiful views
We loved the house. Living area and kitchen well equipped and comfortable - bedrooms good size and attractive. Large lawned garden and very nice pool with beautiful view over valley. 2 wonderful tavernas in easy walking distance, real Crete definitely. Nearest town Vrisses with tavernas on the river was lovely.

Nice holidays in Creta
Everything was clean, the place was very nice, we had everything we need, the owner came once to clarify everything is OK.
A nice taverna is close to the villa.
The most peaceful holidays we had the last years.

A peaceful retreat
If you want to evade from the agitation of major cities like Khania, Rethymno or Iraklion, and stay in a place not far from the majority of places of interest of the western part of the island, in a charming, typical cretan village, then Vila Aloni should be your choice. The BBQ and the pool are the best arguments for it !
