La Grange is one in a complex of 6 rural French gites which are purpose-built and restored using traditional materials. The accommodation is situated within a private courtyard, with a separate parking area. Each Gite has its own garden, with a BBQ, dining area and garden furniture. The large private swimming pool comprises a paddling pool (25msq) with a depth of 40cm waterfalling into a large pool (75msq) with a shallow end of 1m and a deep end of 2m, and is shared by the four properties. The pool is situated on the edge of the Adour valley with spectacular views of the mountains. The grounds include an ancient chapel, moat & woodlands to explore. There is a large village communal pool in the village of Madiran.

Gite 3 – La Grange
2 bedrooms, shower room, lounge, dining area & fully equipped kitchen.
The Gite has 2 bedrooms – a double bedroom with king size bed of 180cm by 200cm bed, and a large bedroom with 3 single beds. Downstairs is a lounge, with a log burning stove, a dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The private terrace overlooks the courtyard.
In total – 100 square metres (approx 1100 square feet).
An adjoining door leading to Gite 4 (Le Chai) enables the gite to be let either individually, as 2 separate units, or 1 large unit sleeping 10+ people. Ideal for 2 families, large groups or grandparents and those wishing to holiday together but have their own space at the same time.
We are a family orientated location.
Great play area with large sand pit, swings and play house, rugby posts, giant connect four & many other garden games.

After a busy week exploring the Pyrenees with 4 children 8 years and under we were hoping for a relaxing week at Le Prielle and that's exactly what we got, and more.
From our arrival Simon and Paulette made us feel welcome and at ease. The gite was much bigger than the photos suggested and was immaculate with lovely touches including toys, child bedding and all the mod cons needed. The patio area was perfect with a great gas bbq and loads of seating.
Even with such young children the whole area was so peaceful and well laid out we were able to let them have some independence in exploring and playing all the outdoor games. The swimmimg pool was perfect and the kids spent hours of fun in it ajd chasing the local lizards! Their strict policy of locking the pool gate was very reassuring as a parent.
The courtyard and all the grounds are beautiful to explore with so many interesting finds. You can tell it has been a labour of love for the owners and they take pride in every part of it. We visited the local market and went swimming in a local river and ordered daily croissants from the village boulangerie.
Le Prielle really does live up to all the fantastic reviews I had read before booking and the owners hospitality and relaxed approach is the perfect blend for success. We usually like to visit somewhere different on holidays to have new experiences but all the children are begging to go back so we may have to change that plan next year!

A perfect place to relax, unwind and switch-off!
Le Prielle was an idyllic spot for us to enjoy some precious family time. We’d journeyed down through France in our campervan, taking 5 days and stopping off en-route at various seaside spots. We were delighted with all the home comforts the gite had to offer on our arrival; spacious bedrooms with fully made-up beds, a fully equipped kitchen with all the mod cons, a variety of indoor and outdoor dining places and a wide range of folding deckchairs for relaxation! The fresh fruit and home-made jams were delicious, not to mention the local wines which you must try – and buy a little stock for your return home! We really appreciated the relaxed feel of the gite and all the facilities on-site which were perfect for our daughters (aged 17 and 19) to get the all-important sun-tan by the pool, whilst also enjoying the odd game of table-tennis and volleyball on the massive garden. Even our little dog, Ronnie, enjoyed his stay and Paulette helpfully set up the vet’s appointment so we could get him ‘signed off’ for his return back to the UK. All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would recommend Le Prielle to anyone seeking peace and tranquillity in a beautiful location. Thank you, Paulette and Simon!

Brilliant holiday gite!
Thank you Paulette & Simon for a wonderful holiday. We had a fantastic time relaxing in the spacious grounds of the gite - making new friends, feeding the pigs, collecting fresh eggs, fruit & veg. We had some fab adventures too - walking in the Pyrenees, exploring the caves near Lourdes & the amazing hire wire centre with the zip wire over the lake. The children loved the freedom to run about & the 'midnight' swim was a real highlight too! You were both superb & thoroughly welcoming hosts.

Relax in a beautiful setting in South West France
Simon and Paulette have created four charming and beautifully restored Gites from renovated barns, in the grounds of an old Chateau, dating from 1745. A perfectly tranquil setting to enjoy a peaceful holiday while still within reach of many attractions close to the Pyrenees in South West France. The space available far exceeds anything we had ever experienced on holidays in particular compared to busy resorts elsewhere.
