Very comprehensive directions to property and information, with the host prompt and helpful to answer additional questions. Property was clean, week laid out, with all that was needed for our overnight stay, including cot. All this made for a quiet and restful stay.

The two of us enjoyed a lovely stay. We had everything we needed. It was clean, cosy, warm and homely. Owners nearby if needed but we wanted for nothing. Booking through TripAdvisor was easy and I was kept well informed regarding our stay; check-in details, location instructions etc.. Bonus is that it's just a 15 minute bus ride into Bristol.

Small space for 4 adults but just what we needed as a base for visiting Bristol. Handy bus trip into the centre without needing to worry about parking the car.

The amenities were all excellent, we wanted for nothing. It was also a great base to see what Bristol has to offer, only about 10 minutes drive to the centre. Would stay there again!

Thanks so much Frank! Glad you had a good stay. You'll be very welcome to come back any time! Don't forget to watch "What Dreams May Come", that Robin Williams movie I mentioned :-)

About the neighbourhood
There is a swimming pool only a five minute walk from the lodge (Jubilee Swimming Pool) via walkway, and a nature conservation area a similar distance away (callington nature reserve) down the lane and down a hill. Three streets (10 min walk) away there is an entrance to award winning Arno's Vale Cemetery (and a park!), where Doctor Who (weeping angels) and Sherlock (Abominable Bride) were both filmed. Callington Nature Reserve is a five minute walk too, down two sets of steps. Broadwalk shopping centre is also a short distance away. And we have a very large Tesco Superstore within a 10 minute walk away (or five minutes by car).
Getting around
The bus stop to the town centre is a 3 minute walk from the lodge (the Greenleaze stop in Knowle, Bristol). It takes 15 minutes to get to the centre in average traffic.
