We always forward a copy of our Guest information pack prior to arrival, this contains all information to enhance your stay.(a copy is also in the apartment). Keys for the apartments, are in a secure Keysafe adjacent to the main entrance gate. (code sent prior to arrival ) Generally we are both around, or a phone call away, for any queiries you may have. When possible, we will allow guests to check out later (subject to availability), or check in earlier (again subject to availability).

Well, what can I say. This apartment is absolutely perfect. Beautifully decorated, kitchen is well appointed with lovely crockery and cutlery (not that we used much of it except at breakfast) and if you wanted to cook a full meal, everything is there. Location is perfect being right by the walls and very near the racecourse. You don’t need a car after you arrive.

4a Stanley Place Chester So delighted we chose this well appointed apartment. Immaculately clean with everything you could ask for. Large comfortable sitting room with flat screen including sky movies. Large kingsize bed in one room with dressing table, wardrobe and plenty of sockets. We had this room so had sole use of the large bathroom along the hall that has a great shower. Towels etc are provided. The kitchen is modern and has everything you could need including a microwave, oven, dishwasher and washer dryer. 2nd bedroom is a double but this room has an en-suite shower room. There is storage downstairs for cases etc and nice outside seating area. There is private parking. In a very quiet area it’s strange when you realise this flat is so central it’s a stones throw to the town in one direction and the racecourse/ city walls in another direction. Loads of fab restaurants and bars near by with great shopping. We arrived to milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge as well as some biscuits and chocolates, a lovely touch. Just two little things that could have been mentioned there is a 4 Stanley place that has buzzers for flats on the other side of this building. That led to a little confusion when we arrived and if coming soon you should note there are quite a few roadworks with a couple of nearby roads closed off. Once we got our bearings it was easy enough to come in a different way. In a way I hate to recommend this so highly as we want to come back but I must give credit where it’s due🙂.

An immaculate apartment. High quality furniture, fittings and decor ..... and all the equipment needed for a relaxed, quiet, holiday. We parked the car in the allocated place and didn't need to use it until we left. The compact city centre is only a few minutes' walk away with countless shops, interesting buildings, cafes, restaurants and good pubs. Plenty of independent shops as well as good multiples. Walking round the city wall gives access to the river and canal as well as shopping streets and it is only at the end of Stanley Place. Andy and Sheila live close by and had kindly left us chocolates, biscuits and wine. Most welcome after a long car journey. After years of some very mediocre holiday accommodation (pans stuck to shelves, tired furniture, appalling decor, ducks up the wall etc.,) we were delighted with 4A Stanley Place and highly recommend it.

We recently stayed at Stanley Place for a long weekend with friends. It was the first time we had visited Chester & we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We did the wall walk & the Xmas market stalls had opened that weekend, so they are well worth a look. Also went to Chester Zoo which was amazing, so much to see & didn’t manage to get round it all, so think another trip back will be on the cards. As for the apartment it was fab. A well equipped kitchen, comfortable, warm & best of all, absolutely spotless. A lovely touch was the Lindt chocolates, shortbread and pint of milk in the fridge so we could have a cuppa after a long drive. Would highly recommend a stay here and thank you Andrew.

The apartment has been recently renovated to a high spec. and is very well equipped. It is clean, comfortable and spacious. We stayed for ten days and it was home from home. We could easily have stayed longer. Met the owners several times during our stay and they were very friendly and helpful. A big plus was having a dedicated parking space within minutes walk of the city centre. All in all, can recommend 4A as the place to stay in Chester city centre.

4A Stanley Place is an excellent first floor apartment in a quiet location between the centre of Chester and the City Walls. We had a delightful welcome pack of essentials plus a box of chocs and a pack of my new favourite biscuits - butterscotch shortbread. It was great to be able to make a cuppa as we settled in without heading straight off to the shops. It is very well equipped with everything you'll need for a city break. The lounge/diner and the larger bedroom were ideal for our visit. We weren't traditional tourists. Our daughter was getting married at Chester Town Hall so we used the space for bride and bridesmaid preparations and the flat comfortably accommodated a photographer, videographer and two hairdressers too. There was still plenty of room for my wife and I to get changed in the ensuite double bedroom. The flat has a dedicated parking space monitored by CCTV and there is also an outside courtyard with furniture. The stairs from the ground floor can be tricky to negotiate with baggage but there is a cupboard and suitcase stand inside the ground floor entrance. All in all we had an excellent stay.

Wir hatten Chester auf der Karte gewählt, um unsere unterschiedlichen Ziele zu erreichen und waren sehr positiv überrascht von der quirligen Stadt mit ihren vielen Möglichkeiten zum Essen und Shoppen. Auch die Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in die Umgebung sind sehr vielfältig. Der Flughafen Manchester ist gut zu erreichen. Andrew und Sheila, die Vermieter, sind sehr nett und offen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Der Höhepunkt war es, ein englisches Pferderennen zu erleben.

Stayed here for 2 weeks arriving at the same time as beast from the east decided to visit UK. First thing to notice was it was warm as toast inside the apartment. The decor and cleanliness was first class with all the comforts of home plus a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The allocated parking space and the location so close to the city centre were our main reasons for booking. Although a stones throw from the many bars and restaurants in Chester, the location is lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. If you don't feel like cooking every morning there is a friendly little cafe on Stanley Street that does a tasty breakfast butty. Access to the apartment was via a rather narrow staircase to the first floor. A bit of a struggle arriving with suitcases as we did, but after that no problem. Would definitely stay again.

About the neighbourhood
Stanley Place, is situated next to the old race course stables, called Linenhall. Formerly, the residence of the rich 'linen' merchants of the 18th Century. 4A Stanley Place, forms part of the rear servants quarters, and has it's own separate entrance and parking space. The courtyard has BBQ, tables & chairs for use in the main season from March-September. The close proximity to the City centre of 2 minutes walk to restaurants and bars, with the Walls and Racecourse 30 metres walk a away. While being in the midst of the city, the property is in a peaceful location.
Getting around
The City centre is easily accessible by foot, the City walls are only 30 metres from the property. City Sightseeing Tours operate a 7 day bus service, of 60 minutes duration. There are 13 Stops, the nearest is number 11 in Princess Street. The hop on/Hop off service is a great way to explore the cultural highlights of Chester. The ticket lasts a full 24 hours.
