The apartment, which is furnished to a very high standard, forms part of a historic Georgian building, where the period features are complemented by modern comforts, including full double glazing and gas central heating throughout. Situated in a very quiet area of central Exeter, a short walk from the city centre, the apartment is located on Clifton Hill, a leafy Georgian terrace next to Belmont Park. From the outside you enter into a smart communal entrance hall with stairs to three other apartments. An inner door opens into the entrance hall of our private, fully self-contained apartment. The very large 8m x 4m living/dining room allows enjoyment of the high ceilings, together with three fully double-glazed, south facing sets of doors and Juliet balconies, making the space bright, light and airy and overlooking the shared gardens. The living area is furnished with two three seater sofas, coffee tables and equipped with a 55” Samsung Smart TV, sound system, Blu-Ray player and Bluetooth connection for your personal devices. The dining area is equipped with a table and seating for six, enabling you to entertain, using the extremely well equipped kitchen. The contemporary kitchen, with granite worktops, is equipped primarily with Bosch appliances – an induction hob, multi-function oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There are a range of small appliances such as a toaster, together with various ways of making tea and coffee, and even a Nutribullet. There is an extensive selection of cookware, utensils, china and glassware. A good night’s sleep should be guaranteed as both double bedrooms are at the rear of the building and come with luxurious hotel quality beds, plenty of pillows, cushions, luxury Egyptian linen and towels. The singles in the second bedroom can be made up as a superking on request. Anti-allergy duvets and pillows are also available on request. The main bedroom also has a double wardrobe, chest of drawers and a TV. The windows are fitted with the original period shutters. There is a fully tiled en-suite with rainshower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. The second bedroom also has a double wardrobe/drawer in which there is a hotel safe. The adjacent family bathroom has a full size bath with a shower over and a glass shower screen, toilet and basin. Guests have use of the shared garden and next door is Belmont Park, with a children’s play area. A car is not needed for your stay - there is a Waitrose supermarket close by, the city centre and Quayside are a short walk - all in all perfected located to explore Exeter. If you bring a car there is a private space in our onsite, secure car park. We regularly welcome business and leisure travellers from around the world and hope you will enjoy Exeter as much as we do! We're far enough away not to intrude, but close enough if you need us. And we don't give you a list of tasks before you can leave! From the very beginning, Philip put our mind at ease particularly because of the uncertainties of the pandemic. Travelling from the US, we had to quarantine for 10 days but the apartment was a joy to live in - filled with light and very well appointed. It was the best equipped kitchen we have rented, with everything we needed to cook and entertain...which we were able to do later on in our stay with ease. It was immaculately clean and the linens and towels of hotel quality. Little touches such as fresh fruit, scones, jam, bread etc in the fridge were a welcome surprise. All in all, this was perfect and we cannot fault it - we will definitely be returning (as is the case for other guests when you read the guest book). Thank you, Philip!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this luxurious apartment. It was our first break anywhere since Covid and with a vulnerable husband we couldn’t have asked for more! It was spotlessly clean and sanitised and we felt really confident and safe! The owner was extremely helpful and we had great, prompt comms. We’ve stayed in so many properties in Devon over the years but this definitely topped them all. The king size bed was so comfortable; the en-suite shower heavenly. The kitchen was so well equipped and the entire apartment was beautiful and so spacious. My son loved his bedroom (and the painting that looked like a photo!) and it was a nice touch to have a few family games, movies and local guides to hand! It was a short, easy walk to the city centre for dinner, yet the apartment was a quiet and restful retreat! Just what we needed. Perfect location for exploring Devon and the coast. We particularly loved paddle boarding at Exmouth! Thoroughly recommend and will be back!

We had a great stay in this very spacious apartment. It had everything we needed for our stay, and even included Wi-Fi and Netflix on the TV. There was also a large playground and field nearby which helped keep our 4 year old entertained. Would happily recommend staying here to friends and family. Many thanks for a great time - Jamie

What a find! Amazing apartment, spotless, spacious and fully kitted out with everything you could possibly need, located only 15 minutes walk from Exeter City Centre, The Quay and the University. A true home from home. We have rented many places over the years that we were more than happy with when vacationing in the UK, but this has surpassed all of them by a country mile and will be top of our list every time we return to Exeter.

This is a stunning apartment with high-quality furniture, linens, fluffy towels, kitchen accessories - everything you can think of is provided. It's more spacious and more luxurious than the lovely photos convey. I feel very fortunate to have found this place. It's perfect.

As this trip was part business and part pleasure, proximity to both the City center and the University of Exeter were important to both of us, this flat's location proved ideal. The Center was an easy walk, while the University was just a five-minute drive. The off-street parking stall in a secure parking lot was a big bonus-generally parking is difficult in UK cities. The flat was spacious and beautifully kitted out with high-end appliances, a surplus of dishes, etc. a surround sound system and a very high-speed wi-fi. Philip, the owner was on hand to greet us and was congenial as well informative. He really was a gracious host throughout our 4 week stay. A major superstore was just a 5-minute walk away. We look forward to returning in the very near future.

Everything you could ever want in a holiday apartment. The accommodation and location are exactly as described. Comfortable, clean, well equipped and just a short walk from the city centre. We didn't even need to use the car as all amenities are close enough to walk to, consequently we were able to confidently leave the car in the secure car park behind the accommodation. we love it and look forward to our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay in Exeter, not least because of the comfortable and conveniently located self catering apartment. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are all fully equipped with everything you need for your trip. Coffee, tea, milk and scones and clotted cream were provided, so you can relax as soon as you arrive. There is a fantastic Thai take away within five minutes walk and a Waitrose supermarket five minutes drive away.

Really the most perfect accommodation. Phillip is the perfect host. Absolutely can’t fault anything. Great location, parking space is a huge bonus, great beds, great shower, great internet. The scones Phillip leaves for new guests is the icing on the cake.

About the neighbourhood
Our Exeter location, next to Belmont Park is in a conservation area, walking distance from Exeter Cathedral, the Princesshay shopping area and the Quayside. In the city centre you can visit the Cathedral, one of the oldest and most beautiful in England and shop at Princesshay with over 70 of the best high street names together with a mix of specialist and independent shops. A relaxed vibe, ancient and modern – all can be found in the city. At the Quayside there are multiple option for climbing, canoeing, kayaking cycling walking along the River Exe. Exeter’s central Devon location offers extensive opportunities for day trips, including the south and north Devon coasts, Cornwall. Dartmoor and Exmoor, the Jurassic Coast, Bath and Bristol.
Getting around
There is easy access to a wide range of communications - the M5 motorway is 5 mins drive, the airport, 15 mns, bus and railway stations with a 15 minute walk. London is less than 3 hours by train. Nowhere in Devon and Cornwall is further than a 2 hour drive. We are also ideally located to explore other beautiful areas in Devon and Cornwall such as the Jurassic Coast, River Exe Estuary, Dartmoor and Exmoor. The south coast of Devon is easily accessible. To the east is the Jurassic coast from Exmouth. To the west is Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, Totnes, Salcombe and Plymouth. Why not try letterboxing on Dartmoor? The north coast is also accessible by rail via the Tarka Line, to the surfing at Croyde Bay, Woolacombe, and to Exmoor.
