Keep coming back!
Our latest visit was the latest of many, we just keep coming back. If you want a small place to unwind in a great location then this is the place. Small space but has everything that you need and all very cosy and comfortable with great views over Totnes and surrounding countryside. Is an ideal base for seeing the local area although when we visit we just tend to settle in and leave the car. Thoroughly recommend.

Relax and unwind.
Just a couple of steps down from car park down a slope and you’re at Dart View Cabin. Fantastic view over Totnes,the River Dart and surrounding countryside. Spent a very relaxing and comfortable week here with our two elderly dogs. So many walks and places to visit nearby what more could you want? Except perhaps a longer stay. You must try the hammock. Bliss. Donna and Nick are lovely and very welcoming. If you’re looking for a piece of heaven away from the rat race this is it. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place to stay in a beautiful location.
A great place to stay in. Very well furnished and comfortable with an excellent outside space as well.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
The location is brilliant with wonderful views and the town easily reached.
We had a great holiday there.

A little gem
Our second stay in Dart View Cabin, a quirky, comfortable accommodation with everything you could need for a relaxing break. It's very quiet and peaceful with a lovely decked area to enjoy when the weather permits. Communication with Donna and Nick is excellent and, whilst they don't intrude, we know they are there if needed. Highly recommended!

WOW This is a Gem
We found a gem in Totnes , walking distance from town and river boat . What a great place very clean and cosy with everything you need for a short or long stay . We were out daytime so didn't have time to sit in the garden but we did make use of the outdoor bath (even on a misty night) Donna and Nick were lovely hosts (full of local knowledge) Best chillout place for years .

Lovely Cabin
I'm so glad I found The Dart View Cabin. Everything about it is perfect. It's very clean, tidy, and has a well equipped kitchen. It's warm and cosy but at the sametime it's quite spacious. The view is superb and always pleasant to wake up to, whatever the weather is like. It's only a short walk to Totnes which is ideal for shopping, eating out and exploring.
Donna and Nick are lovely people and were always on hand if needed. They asked me if there was anything they could improve on to make the Cabin any better. I honestly couldn't find anything that could be improved on. For me, it is perfect the way it is.
I will certainly stay at the Dart View Cabin again.

Dart view lodge cabin
Great views, nice cabin and good facilities. Entry & exit to the property is a bit tricky, along Toton Down Road, due to steep and narrow lane. But Totnes is very nice as is Dorset. Lots to do on your doorstep and owners very helpful. We would stay again.

Can’t wait to be back
We rented Donna and Nick’s cabin in June last year to celebrate my birthday … it was everything we wanted … and more. We had an amazing time … we did the round robin trip by boat train and bus, ate at the majority of restaurants in walking distance … loved the Japanese cafe a stones through away from the cabin! We went to the Devon show, attended a gin making class and spent many happy hours browsing the shops and partaking of a few drinks in the local bars. The cabin was so cosy and had everything we needed. We met up with Donna and Nick … hadn’t seen Donna for 40 + years … they were so accommodating. We loved it so much that we are due back in 4 weeks for my birthday!! We have travelled many places abroad and I am looking forward to this break as much as I would look forward to going to the Maldives .. that is a true testimony to how much we enjoyed ourselves … we even got sunshine and went home with a lovely tan! Totnes is a fabulous town to have as your base, with easy access to the South Hams, beaches and Dartmoor. It has some fantastic independent shops, a market on a Friday & Saturday and a monthly Sunday Good Food market. There are lots of places to eat such as Rumour, the Waterside Bistro, Steam Packet and The Bull Inn. Lovely walks along the river to Ashprington (& Durant Arms)! Places to visit include the castle in Totnes, the South Devon Railway - this renowned steam train will take you back in time on your journey to Buckfastleigh. Take a boat trip on the River Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth or take the river walk to Dartington Hall Estate, with its listed gardens, cinema and shops.
Getting around
Totnes town centre is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the cabin but there is plenty of parking in the town. (Morrison's is free for 2 hours!)
I would recommend a car as there are so many beautiful sights, beaches and interesting places to visit in the area.
However, not to be missed is the 'Round Robin' river trip. Starting from Steamer Quay Totnes, board the 'Cardiff Castle' for a fabulous river journey, passing Greenway, Agatha Christie's former residence and on to Dartmouth, catching the original Steam Train to Paignton where you board the (weather permitting) open top bus back to Totnes. A great day out!

Totnes is easy to reach by road, rail or coach.
Totnes is about 5 miles off the main A38 Devon Expressway, midway between Exeter and Plymouth. The A38 is a continuation of the M5 at Exeter and the M4 at Bristol.
