Holiday Rental House
Old Stream House was built in the late 1800's and is a lovingly restored quaint cosy town cottage with stripped wood doors and floors and original fire places upstairs and down! The open plan Lounge/Dining room leads out to a pretty walled courtyard terrace which is a real sun trap.
Two lovely bedrooms, a NEW very comfortable King bed at the front and two comfortable single beds at the back. A large character Bathroom with shower over bath is on the same floor as the Bedrooms.
The Kitchen is compact and bijou leading out to the courtyard decked area which is private and lovely to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening, with a smart glass table and wicker chairs to enjoy eating al fresco in this sheltered sunny garden.

The house is very homely and comfortable and well equipped. Its super convenient for walking into Seaford Town Centre with the main line Railway Station being two minutes walk!
Seaford has many lovely individual shops, bars and restaurants - Seaford is a little jewel in the South East which boasts some of the most spectacular scenery in between Eastbourne and Brighton, including the Seven Sisters Country Park and Seaford Head Nature Reserve. The County Town of Lewes is just 15 minutes away with Lewes Castle and Harveys Brewery - and the beautiful historical town of Alfriston is only a short drive away. Brighton has amazing nightlife and fabulous shopping and takes 30 minutes on the train direct from Seaford every half hour - or its a picuresque drive along the coast road by car or bus.

We spent four days in this cottage and we had a very nice stay: the apartment has everything you need, it's close to the centre and in a very quiet road.
Clean and well presented.
Personally the double bed was uncomfortable and tried a single which was worse!
Very comfy sofas.
Front door was hassle, the spare keys didn't open the door and the other set was very hit and miss.
I'd return if the beds...More

We are so sorry to hear this and a little shocked! We haven't had any complaints previously about the double bed which has a new mattress - I guess we all like different things and it's hard to please everyone with so many variations between...More

Thank you we're happy you had such a warm stay during such a cold week! We'd love to welcome you back - Summer is lovely in Seaford and the garden is a real sun trap!
We stayed for two nights in Old Stream House using it as a base to walk the Seven Sisters and explore the South Downs. It was ideal with spacious bedrooms, very well equipped, warm and a five minute walk from the station and the local...More

Not used to being asked to clean the place before leaving or else loose deposit.
Every ones idea of 'clean' is different.
Personally i feel more reassured if the owner overseas a high standard of cleaning and that is included in the rental price. Also...More

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is set in a quiet street just off the main part of the town so it's really quick to walk to from the Railway Station & the main bus stops. There is a taxi rank outside the Station and parking in the street (parking outside the house cannot be guaranteed as its free parking)
It takes a few minutes to walk up the road into town where there are several supermarkets, lots of pubs, different restaurants and coffee/tea shops etc.
Five minutes and you are on your way to the beach - walking through the town to the flat 3 mile Esplanade.
Seaford also has some lovely quaint antique and bric a brac shops, and on the Seafront there are a couple of very quirky coffee/tea/ice cream places together with the Yacht Club for snacks.
.
Getting around
Seaford is a main line railway station with trains coming in from London, Eastbourne, Lewes and Brighton.
Buses run along the whole length of the coast so it's easy to get to both Eastbourne and Brighton by bus - they run every 10 minutes
Taxis are freely available and the Taxi Rank is right outside the Station which is a few minutes from the House.
London Gatwick Airport is one hour drive or train.
