Outside the cottage is enveloped in a glorious garden, a lavender-lined path leads to the front door, dissecting two emerald, green lawns. To the rear is an expansive garden which leads to a deciduous woodland and a small stream, it's a magical spot to explore. The ancient town of Winchcombe offers a wealth of places to eat and drink and is a 10-minute walk or a 2-minute drive down the road. Ground Floor Entrance Hall: The front door leads through the rose-covered porch into the tiled hallway. Living Room: The living room overlooks the front garden and has a welcoming, English country house style. The polished wooden floor is topped with rugs, there is comfy seating, an antique card table and bookcases brimming with books of every kind. Artwork depicting rural scenes graces the walls. Furnished with a king-size bed, Art Deco-style bedside tables and reading lamps, an antique dressing table, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a delightful small armchair, this bedroom has everything you need for a restful stay. Superb cottage in an impressive location
This is a very well equipped, homely, cosy and spacious cottage which enables occupants to have free access to the nearby impressive Sudeley Castle and its fine gardens when open to the general public. It was ideal for my Wife and I in the double bedroom room with the en suite, our Son and his Wife in the other double bedroom, and our two teenage grand children in the twin bedded room who shared the large bathroom with their parents. Both the en suite and bathroom have excellent large showers with plentiful hot water. The bathroom also has a large bath. From the road opposite the locked Castle Gatehouse, there is an upward drive towards the side of the cottage where there is much parking space close to the front door. Entry to the Castle grounds is nearby. Many thanks to Lady Ashcombe and her excellent Staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
