Monks Mill Barn is a beautiful, recently converted barn in the heart of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds just outside Wotton-under-Edge. The barn has two large bedrooms, one of which has a king-size double bed and the other which has twin beds zipped together. The barn is set in approximately one acre of private garden and beyond that is pasture grazed by sheep and cattle and woodland. The interior of the barn is modern, but in keeping with the traditional Cotswold stone barn housing it. Guests will find the barn to be well equipped throughout and a real home-from-home. The local area is teaming with fabulous pubs and restaurants offering some of the best, locally-sourced food in the country and while it may seem that you're hundreds of miles from another human when you're there, Monks Mill is just a short drive to classic Cotswold towns such as Cheltenham, Cirencester and Tetbury as well as larger cities such as Bristol. Furthermore, Monks Mill is ideal for keen walkers and cyclists and it is just a short walk to the Cotswold Way, providing beautiful walks through the very best of the British countryside. Whatever holiday you're looking for, Monks Mill Barn will ensure that it is one of luxury and elegance.More

About the neighbourhood
If you want to venture from the barn, then why not visit some of the beautiful cities and towns surrounding the area such as Cheltenham, Bath or Bristol? They are the perfect place to treat yourself to a bit of retail therapy or perhaps something more cultural - for example, one of the theatres in Cheltenham. If you want to keep it a bit more local though, the area is a wash with fabulous country pubs serving great locally sourced food and drink or you could visit Calcot Manor just up the road from the barn and treat yourself to an all day spa treatment. Whatever it is you want from your holiday, Monks Mill Barn is the perfect way to experience the Cotswolds and one of the most beautiful parts of Great Britain.
How to get there
The easiest way to get to Monks Mill Barn is by car and so guests are advised to hire one if they are coming from abroad or to drive themselves if travelling internally. Once there, a car will be almost essential. Although it is possible to use the public transport system, it is not one which is used regularly and so doesn't run regularly.
