The Cosy Cottage was perfectly located in the centre of Penrith set back in a small courtyard which is lovely and quiet. It had access to lots of pubs, restaurants and shops. We will definitely be staying here when we return later this year!

About the neighbourhood
The Cosy Cottage is located in the centre of a small market town called Penrith. Penrith is located in Cumbria where it was given the nickname 'The Gateway to the Lake District'. Meaning that it is quite literally on the edge of the Lake District. Penrith has everything you would expect a town to have, an abundance of shops, pubs, restaurants and things to do. One big attraction is it's cinema, which is just across the road. It is perfectly located to get to from any direction and to head off in any direction, right on the cross of the M6 motorway and the A66.
Getting around
Penrith has most forms of public transport. A bus station with access to all areas around. A train station, again to anywhere. Multiple taxi ranks, all good quality and cheap prices. Lots of car parks and 'disk zones' around. The bus stop, train station and taxi rank are all less than a 5 minute walk away. A carpark is directly behind the cottage less than a minute away.
