Space This stylish 2-bedroom apartment is the perfect base when visiting London. Located in a trendy East London area minutes from Canary Wharf, it offers beautiful views of the Docks. You’ll be right in the hub of the city but able to escape the hustle and bustle! The open-plan kitchen, living and dining areas make clever use of the space to make it feel light and airy. You can relax on the sofa and make yourself at home. It’s a welcoming and inviting space where you can relax and enjoy the company of your family and friends. The comfy sofa is just ideal to soak in whilst watching your favourite show on TV or to enjoy the beautiful views of the Docks. You don’t even have to leave the room, if you’re caught up with your stomach crumbling: the open-space layout gives you access to the modern kitchen, with a kitchen island for extra space. All the appliances are modern and easy to use and include a microwave, an oven, a toaster and a kettle. Both bedrooms host a comfortable double bed made to hotel standard with fresh luxury linens; what more do you need for a good night’s sleep? You don’t have to live out of your suitcase: plenty of storage room means you can get unpacking and start feeling at home right away. You look great in that dress! The flat hosts 2 large bathrooms, so no queues admitted! You can either have a quick, energising shower or a long, relaxing bath: up to you! White fluffy towels and toiletries are provided. My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay. Access Guests have access to the entire apartment. It is paramount that we respect our neighbours. Interaction My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short-lets management service team who know London like the back of their hand! I trust them to look after you and give you a warm welcome! If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the channel platform. Neighborhood Canary Wharf in East London is the beating financial heart of the city. The area is best known for the cluster of tall buildings that make up the modern banking centre of London, and though there is plenty more to see and do in Canary Wharf than just gaze at skyscrapers, 1 Canada Square, the second tallest building in the country, is an undeniably impressive sight. Visit the River Thames (which surrounds the Isle of Dogs on three sides), and enjoy the perfect afternoon strolling along whilst taking in the breathtaking views of the eclectic London architecture, with buildings both new and old. Alternatively you can board a Thames Clipper boat from the docks and tour the capital by river. For nature lovers, a quick 20 minute walk from the banking district is Mudchute Park and Farm with rare breeds of horses and ponies as well as a petting zoo. The Museum of London Docklands sits close to the banking highrises and charts the history of the dockland area and the people of East London throughout the centuries. Nearby Greenwich park is a lovely green space with expansive views, and is home to the Royal Observatory, Maritime Museum, Meridian line (marking the Western and Eastern hemispheres), tennis courts, ponds, and a deer park! There is plenty to do in this area with Canada Square Park hosting fantastic summer concerts and a winter ice-skating rink, while the Museum of London Docklands draws families with model ships and hands-on displays. Plenty of great pubs and bars including The Merchant, The Parlour Bar and Davy’s at Canary Wharf provide for great year round watering holes. If you’re looking for a bite to eat, there are also some fantastic world renowned restaurants to eat in including ROKA (Japanese), Gaucho (Steak) and One Canada Square (modern European cuisine) to name but a few. Perhaps the most interesting restaurant in the Canary Wharf area is Le Relaise de Venise; an import imitating the original Parisian restaurant where there is only one dish on the menu (steak-frites), cooked to perfection. To the north of the banking buildings sits Billingsgate Fish Market, the largest inland fish market in the UK where you can browse and purchase from an incredible range of seafood. Transit The closest station is Crossharbour, connecting you to the DLR. Only 2 stops – or a short stroll - away, you’ll find Canary Wharf, which also connects you to the Jubilee line. This tube line works 24 hours non-stop on weekends. The area is well-served by buses as well, so getting around won’t be a problem. If you fancy a ride, Uber or Gett are nice and cheaper alternatives to taxiMore
