Whether you’re spending your time chilling out with friends or family, or you’re coming back after a long day of exploring the city, you can take the weight off your feet and make yourself at home! The house is at street level but has several flights of stairs within and no elevator access. GETTING AROUND Greenwich overground and DLR is the closest station (8 min walk). Take the DLR to Canary Wharf to change for the Jubilee line, which can connect you easily to the Central line and central London. Take the overground link to Cannon Street to change for the District and Circle lines, allowing you to get to South London and further reaches. The Citymapper app is highly recommended for help getting around! Within walking distance, however, there are tons of interesting sights, such as the famous Royal Observatory, the Cutty Sark and Greenwich Park (just a 2 minute walk away). NEIGHBOURHOOD A must see if you are in Greenwich is to visit the Observatory, the Cutty Sark (incredible technology for its time) and the Maritime Museum (find Nelson's uniform). Whatever your religion or faith both St Alfege and Our Lady Star of the Sea are beautiful churches in their own right for a moment of peace and reflection. The park has deer in the top far corner. There is live music in pubs like the Prince of Greenwich on weekends, and if you are into alternative comedy, then 'Up the Creek' in Creek Road is a must do. Just once in your life, see it in action, a modern version of the Coliseum in ancient Rome, as the rejected comedians are booed off stage and the successful ones are regarded as great. For a real traditional pub go to the Richard I, Meantime Greenwich Union or the Prince of Greenwich, all on Royal Hill. A bit further afield is the Plume of Feathers, leave you to go for a nice walk across Greenwich Park. and find that in Park Vista. Recommended! Most of the pubs like the Richard do good food. Still, in Royal Hill, there is the Hill and Buenos Aires. In town, there are so many restaurants it is hard to recommend, but more pubs and bars and restaurants, all the way into town and to the river. Noodles, Indian, Vietnamese, Turkish, French, Bills, London traditional Pie and mash, fish and chips! Notes - Please note the flat is on the ground floor and there is no elevator in the property.
