A comfortable and cozy one bedroom flat, between two tube stations (St Johns Wood and Swiss Cottage), on Jubilee Line, in Zone 2. It is only 1-2 stops on the tube to Baker Street on Jubilee line, and it goes directly to Bond Street, Green Park, Westminster, London Bridge.There are also buses five minutes from the flat. It talks 20 minutes to walk to Lord's Cricket Ground. Regents Park is 1.4 miles away, and London Zoo about 35 minutes walk. American School is 10 minutes walk. It is only a couple of minutes from Abbey Road, and 15-20 minutes walk to Abbey Road Studios and Wellington Hospital. Check to be arranged in advance, for a time between 2pm and 8pm. A Late Check In can occasionally be arranged for a Fee of £40, and for a time between 8pm and 11pm. There is one double bedroom, and a separate living room with a pull out sofa which can be used if 3-4 people are staying. Both rooms are south east facing, light and sunny (the photos were taken by a Trip Advisor photographer). The flat is suitable for two guests, or three or four guests if you want to use the pull out sofa in the living room as well. In the bedroom there is a double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of draws, extra linen and towels if needed. Kitchen with the essentials, bathroom with a bathtub and a hand held shower, and a separate toilet, as well as two small balconies. This is a non-smoking flat, and you are welcome to smoke only on the balcony. The flat is on a quiet, green and leafy street, and close to multiple transport links with easy access to other parts of London. It is safe and convenient, situated in an apartment building on the fifth (top) floor, and a small lift is available. On the Jubilee line - tube ride of just 5 minutes gets you to Bond Street (2-3 stops, on Oxford Street), it takes 7 mins on the tube to Green Park (3-4 stops, Buckingham Palace just across the park), and 9 mins tube ride to Westminster (4-5 stops, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament) etc. The area is South Hampstead, in North-West Central London, ten minutes on the bus from Baker Street, or 20-30 to Oxford Street, if you prefer the bus. There are several bus routes just a couple of minutes from the flat - to Oxford Street and Marble Arch, to Trafalgar Square and Westminster; to Camden or Notting Hill. The flat is suitable for people who want to visit London, or those who are in London for work or to study, because of it's proximity and great connections with any part of town - both historical and other tourist parts, as well as the City and other business districts. Check In time needs to be confirmed and at the time of booking, and is arranged for a time between 2pm and 8pm. INCLUDED for guests to use: - WiFi - Unlimited Fibreoptic Broadband - Goose feather duvets and pillows - Cotton bedding - Fresh cotton towels - Iron and ironing board - A small hair drier - Umbrellas - Washing machine - Simple slippers (in a wicker basked under the TV) The flat is in a well connected location, with multiple TUBE and BUS routes, as well as one train station (on a London Overground network). WALKING DISTANCE - London Zoo, Regent's Park, Abbey Road Studios, Lords Cricket Ground, Baker Street, American School, Montessori School, Wellington Hospital, Hampstead or Primrose Hill are 10-35 minutes walk. BUS - there are 5 different bus routes 5 minutes from the flat. Some busses go to the very centre/tourist attractions - eg Oxford Street/Marble Arch in 20-30 minutes if the traffic is ok, or Piccadilly Circus/Trafalgar Square in about 30 minutes. Another bus goes directly to Notting Hill or to Camden Town (in the opposite direction). The bus stops for all the busses are 5 minutes walk from the flat. FOOD - restaurants 5 minutes - Mediterranean, Asian, Indian, Lebanese, Thai, and other. An Italian Deli Bruno's, with home cooked food, and a couple of cafes. SHOPS - on the same corner (Abbey Road and Boundary Rd, where the restaurants are) are three small shops (one is 27/7) and a small medical centre. A Tesco supermarket is 5 minutes away (open 7am-11pm) on the way to Swiss Cottage station, with an ATM next to it. Three large supermarkets - Marks & Spencer's, Waitrose and Sainsbury's, are 10-15 mins walk from the flat. CINEMAS - Swiss Cottage Odeon Cinema and VUE Cinema Complex in O2 shopping centre (both on Finchley Road) are 10-20 mins walk from the flat. GYM - Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre is only five minutes away - with a swimming pool, a climbing wall, a gym, a baby gym/play area, a cafe and many other amenities and classes. PARKING - Free street parking on Weekends; On Monday to Friday public parking is available on a pay-meter during the day, and it is free of charge after 6.30pm/before 8am. TRANSPORT LINKS The flat is between two tube stations, St John's Wood and Swiss Cottage, both in Zone 2 on Jubilee Line (and several more stations not too far away). It takes 5 minutes on the tube to get to Bond Street station (on Oxford Street); 7 minutes on the tube to Green Park (a walk across the park to Buckingham Palace, or a few minutes walk to Piccadilly and Leicester Square); 9 minutes to Westminster (if you want to visit Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, or to take a boat down the Thames); 12 mins to Waterloo. Below are some timings + other tube info: • 10 mins walk to Swiss Cottage tube (Jubilee, zone 2) • 12-15 mins walk to St John's Wood tube (Jubilee, zone 2) • 15 mins walk to Finchley Road tube (Jubilee + Metropolitan lines, zone 2) • 20 mins walk to Maida Vale (Bakerloo line, zone 2) • 20 minutes walk to Kilburn High Road tube (Bakerloo line, zone 2) • 25 mins walk to Belsize Park (Northern line, zone 2); BUSSES There are several bus routes a few minutes from the flat, which would take you to: • Central London (Baker Street, Oxford Circus/Marble Arch/Hyde Park; Regents Street, Piccadilly Circus; Trafalgar Squar; Westminster) • Camden Town and the famous Camden Market, bus 31 (15-20 mins) • Notting Hill and Portobello Road, bus 31 (25-35 mins) TRAIN South Hampstead train station (London Overground network) is a few minutes from the flat, and it takes 5 minutes to get to Euston Train Station (only one stop). Euston is very close to Kings Cross and St Pancreas train station. WALKING Some interesting places are within 25-40 minutes walking distance - Regents Park, London Zoo, Abbey Road Studios, Lords Cricket Grounds, Hampstead Village and Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill.. The flat is three minutes away from famous Abbey Road, and down the road are the Abbey Road Studios famous for being used by the Beatles, Pink Floyd and other legendary artists. AIRPORTS • for Stansted and Luton there are direct buses. Bus stop for these is on Finchley Road, about 20 minutes walk from the flat (the bus journey for Luton takes approximately 1h, and for Stansted 1h15-1h30mins) • Heathrow can be reached by tube, train, or taxi, and depending on the mode of transport it takes from 45min to 1h15min • for Gatwick there is a train from West Hampstead (a couple of bus stops form the flat); OR you can go to Victoria - at Victoria you'd take Gatwick Express. Taxi to Gatwick is not too expensive if more than one or two people are travelling. I wish you a great stay in London!More
