Squirrel Nest is a new Eco friendly stylish self contained, well equipped apartment, in a rural country setting on the outskirts of York City centre. The apartment is at first floor level and has a south facing roof terrace over looking green fields. The property has a no smoking and no pets policy.

We stayed here with our little boy. Great place to explore York from. Everything you could want and more in terms of the apartment and good transport links. Jill and her husband were friendly and thoughtful leaving cake, bread milk etc for us on arrival. Would stay again thank you

Perfectly presented apartment in a scenic quiet private location just outside York. Jill the owner meets you with the keys and shows you around your apartment. What I did not realize was the lovely countryside view it has from the decking area. Lots of extras are supplied as well as a fresh cake and seeing as it was my birthday...

Railway: York: 4.0 km
Ferry: Hull: 80.0 km
Arriving by train: The number 1 bus goes from directly outside the station and will bring you within a 5 min walk to the apartment.
Arriving by car: We are approx 5 mins from the A64, take the A1237 turning for York, then at the roundabout take the 3rd turning signposted 'Foxwood' & Leisure Centre. At the mini roundabout go straight on, Grange Lane is the turning just before the next mini roundabout.
The apartment is down a private lane, right at the end of Grange Lane. Please refer to map as Sat Navs have a habit of taking you to the other side of the ring road. Once on the private lane bare left over the cattle grid and follow the drive round.
