There are also green parks, river walks, a golf course and sports facilities including swimming pool, tennis courts, bouldering wall and a running track all within easy walking distance. From the apartment, it is a pleasant 8 minute walk west to Magdalen Bridge - the eastern gateway over the River Cherwell into the medieval centre of Oxford. Within East Oxford itself, the apartment has a great location being a 5 minute walk (north) to all the amenities of the Cowley Road while 5 minutes south takes you to the quieter districts of Iffley Fields and Magdalen Road, known for eateries 'The Magdalen Arms' and 'The Chester Arms'. Check out Tripadvisor for the good reviews on the many highly rated restaurants in the area. For work related visits we are very conveniently located for the John Radcliffe, Churchill and Nuffield hospitals, central Oxford colleges, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford Business Park and Oxford Science Park. Cars are not required in this location however for those with cars we have visitor permits available for the for the on-street parking bay directly in front of the house. Alternatively the apartment has excellent public transport links – for Oxford City Centre, the London airports or central London. The living space The apartment occupies the entire upper ground floor (63m2 / 678ft2) of a large Victorian townhouse previously owned by Oxford University as post-graduate student accommodation. We have carefully renovated it, restoring beautiful period features including the sash windows, fireplace and original wood floors. Features include: - New bathroom with shower over the bath - Spacious (16m2) bedroom with a luxurious king size bed, ample clothes storage, mirror, sofa and twin sash windows overlooking the rear gardens - Open plan living area with a new fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bench & extendable dining table for up to six leading to - Spacious sitting room with two comfortable sofas and armchairs for television viewing or for relaxing in the bay window to enjoy the sunset behind the church opposite - Desk/study area overlooking the sitting room - New central heating system providing unlimited hot water - Separate utility area with washer/dryer, additional clothes hanging space and storage space for suitcases - Wi-Fi throughout: Unlimited 100mbps Virgin fibre broadband - 42' TV with Virgin essential free to air channels and players You’re welcome to use anything within the apartment and for your convenience we provide the following: - Fresh milk and breakfast items sufficient for the first morning until you’re ready to explore the neighbourhood shops! - Tea, ground coffee and some larder ingredients (seasonings, olive oil etc.) - Bathrobe for each guest - Shower gel, shampoo and hand soaps - Laundry & dishwasher detergents - Cleaning products, Marigolds, pinny etc. - Power socket adaptor for international travelers, extension lead - US/UK voltage convertor available on request Parking: We can provide visitor permits for the on-street parking bay outside the house - please request details when booking. In addition there is free 2 hour street parking 25 metres away or free time unlimited street parking 2 minutes walk away. Exterior: The apartment doesn't have it's own outside space although the front steps provide an ideal place to sit by the heather pots to watch the sunset! Bicycles can be locked to bike racks in the small communal front garden. Other things to note: - Weekly bed linen / towel change provided at no extra charge - The apartment is on the upper ground floor and there are 11 wide steps up to the main front door. Once inside, everything is on one level except for 2 steps down to the laundry area and bathroom - The front door of the apartment is accessed via the main house door and communal front hall which is shared with one other apartment. Please leave dirty dishes in the dishwasher and dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided in the front garden

Getting around
Ideally located on the western side of East Oxford, our flat is within easy walking distance of everything! - Cowley Rd and Magdalen Rd: both 5 minutes walk - Magdalen Bridge: 8 minutes - High Street and Oxford city centre: 15-20 mins walk. Bicycles are a fun way to get around and available for hire on the Cowley Road. Public transport is excellent and widely available; buses into central Oxford take less than 5 mins and leave every 7 mins from Iffley Rd opposite or more often from the Cowley Rd. Buses direct to Oxford train station run from the Cowley Road, for frequent trains to London Paddington. Allow up to 15 mins to walk to St Clements for the frequent 24hr coach service to central London (taking approx. 90 minutes).
