Oxford with its University Colleges, parks and shopping is only 12 miles and the historic market town of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, the birth place of Winston Churchill, are 2 miles away.
For those who enjoy shopping Bicester Village, is only 13 miles away and for Theatre goers The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and birthplace of William Shakespeare at Stratford -On-Avon is just a fourty minute drive as well as a variety of theatres and musical events in Oxford.
The village is well facilitated with its own Pub which serves food, a grocery store, a Post Office and a hairdresser. There is a regular bus service to Oxford, Charlbury railway station is only 2miles away with trains to London Paddington and Oxford Parkway railway station is a 20 minute drive away with easy parking and frequent trains to Euston station.
The cottage is cosy with gas central heating and a wood burning stove. On the ground floor is a large hallway, downstairs toilet, living room with French windows, a kitchen dining room fully equipped with a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. WIFI and freeview TV are also available. On the first floor is a double bedroom with King Size bed, a second twin bedroom, and a bathroom which includes a traditional cast iron roll top bath. Crisp white linen and towels are provided.
The Old Bake House has its own courtyard seating area with barbeque, from which you can enjoy the sunset in the evening and rolling countryside during the day.

Thank you Ros. We enjoyed our stay and the really nice thing about the accommodation is that it worked, you could live there. It's been well thought through with many nice touches. Well situated and off road parking.
Apart from being a lovely area to visit Stonesfield is well placed for public transport with a regular bus service passing through the village and a railway station just two miles away in Charlbury or Oxford Parkway station which is a 20 minute drive.Dining out - Stonesfield has its own Pub just up the road from the cottage. Woodstock has a variety of restaurants and Cafes as well as Take Away's. In addition there are many local pubs to visit in the surrounding villages.Walks - if you enjoy walking there are numerous delightful walks, all of which can be done from the cottage without the need to drive anywhere. The Oxfordshire Way runs alongside the cottage and is a well known walkers treasure.
