Home comforts in a delightful location
Lovely house, true to the description on the website. The kitchen, living and dining areas are spacious and well equipped. Clean, contemporary, comfortable and practical - better than home from home. Bathrooms were fine but personally I prefer small headed showers rather than the plate type. The back garden was private, well laid out and equipped with table and chairs which would be great for outdoor meals. Location was good for those preferring peace and quiet with a river and boats nearby.

Great house, very homely and perfect location
We stayed at Holmlea for a long weekend and were very pleased. Having booked this place last minute due to our previous accommodation falling through, we couldnt have been happier that it did. The house is lovely with and we loved the big open plan kitchen with the doors out to the garden - it was perfect to enjoy the sunny weekend. The house is well equipped and the location is great, only a few doors down from the local pub the Maybush which is fantastic and with great views over the river. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return ourselves if we are in the area again!

Beautiful house and location
We had a month stay Jan/Feb 2013 at Homlea and it was all we wanted and more. Great location next to The Maybush too. Harry was really helpful when we had a problem with the heating and sorted out a plumber straight away even though he was away on holiday abroad at the time, unfortunately our granddaughter broke a blanket hamper while on a visit to us but Harry did not deduct anything for this from our breakages deposit :) The house was warm and comfortable during a very cold and snowy period of the year too. If I could find any negatives it would be to have a bigger tv but thats probably because we had a long time there during the winter so watched more tv than normal and the beds were rather too hard for us but some people like very hard beds so thats a matter of preference.

Perfect family retreat
We were a family of two grandparents, two parents and two children under 5 yrs. Holmlea was the perfect holiday away from home for us, a fully fenced off garden perfect for games with young kids. The open plan kitchen/diner also meant that the children could play outside while adults observed from inside. Bedrooms were all a good size and the three bathrooms meant nobody was kept waiting. The kitchen had a great selection of cooking/preparation utensils so no need to bring any from home. There was also plenty of storage and fridge space. The washing machine and dryer were an asset when the kids had been out exploring. The location was superb, so very close to the river it was almost next door. Also a lovely pub right there on the river to elax and soak up the beautiful scene. The area also has many lovely walkways, both along the river and into the countryside.

Woodbridge is a charming market town at the head of the river Deben, famous for its Tide Mill and gastronomic diversity. At nearby Orford, you can climb the 12th century castle keep for views over Europe’s largest vegetated shingle spit and eat delicious seafood in the Butley Oystery. There are many National Trust and old heritage sites nearby, such as Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings. Waldringfield is an unspoilt village surrounded by farmland and lies within the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Deben Estuary is beautiful, it is untouched by development.
