This is a fantastic waterfront apartment situated a short walk along the Quayside from Newcastle's Millennium bridge. Mariners Wharf is just down the bank from the Hotel du Vin at the head of the historic Ouseburn valley, Newcastle's best kept secret area, yet we are still only a 30 minute stroll from the centre of town. This luxury ground floor apartment, with two double bedrooms, has a large spacious open plan living space with a modern black marble kitchen annex. This is a real home from home, with everything that you would need and offers a practical alternative to hotels for families. Just what we wanted. A brilliant apartment, clean, bright, fully equipped and in a great location. The walk along the quayside is impressive, especially at night with the lights of the Millennium Bridge and The Sage. We stayed 3 nights. Our arrival was delayed but...More

Great Appartment, great location and most importantly all at a fair price. Trevor was really friendly and attentive, there was even milk in the fridge for tea! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody staying in Newcastle.

About the neighbourhood
Mariners Wharf is really the perfect spot in Newcastle. Not only are we handy for the bars and restaurants of the Quayside and the shops and distractions of the city centre, we are also within stepping distance of the historic quirky Ouseburn valley and close to the attractions the Victoria Tunnel and the Seven Stories. The sounds of the city never quite reach this peaceful spot.
Getting around
We are a 30 minute stroll from both the city centre and mainline train station. For those who prefer to use public transport we are on the Q3 quayside link bus route, which drops you right in the city centre.
