Brilliant, Quiet, perfect location
Marilyn is lovely! Ideal single floor s/c cottage, lounge/kitchen and bedroom with en suite. Good comfy king size bed, spacious shower, couldn’t fault anything! Overlooking fields, just sounds of a stream and birds, saw the rabbits too! About a 20 min drive to Devils Bridge, 10 mins to Aberystwyth, amenities like Morrisons and the Rhediol Railway.

A perfect Welsh holiday cottage with a warm welcome
This beautifully restored stone cottage backing onto meadows where we were free to wander and enjoy spectacular views across hills and sea views towards Cardigan bay left us enchanted. Not far from Aberystwyth yet secluded and very comfortable we were met by friendly Marilyn and Ivor.Enjoyed our stay so much. Can’t wait to return

A real charming rural retreat
Lovely long weekend stay. We arrived first morning of lifting of lockdown in Wales for self catering hospitality on 27th March. An idyllic location on the slopes of Cambrian hills and 7 mins from Aberystwyth. Very warm welcome from host Marilyn and immaculate cottage for a couple with welcome bottle of wine in fridge and few other goodies and tea making materials. Cottage has all modern amenities, warm and some lovely walks within 10 mins drive. Coastal path walk was superb. Highly recommended for a long weekend rural retreat or a summer week break for a couple.

Thank you very much indeed for your lovely review. It was such a pleasure having lovely guests to start off after lockdown as I was a bit nervous of getting back into the flow! I couldn't have wished for more perfect guests and am delighted they enjoyed their stay. Brilliant!

Excellent cottage, very well equipped and very comfortable
We spent a very restful week in Celyn Cottage - Marily and Ivor are lovely hosts who are always available if you need them (we didn't)! The cottage is exactly as described, both warm and comfortable but far better equipped for a Self Catering property than I have ever encountered - the only items you need to take are food (and Marilyn provides a lovely welcome pack too). We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the evening sun despite the chilly weather. Highly recommend - we will return.

Thank you for your kind review. By the time you return next year we will have completed a couple of landscape projects to make the cottage even more enjoyable. The gardens will be maturing nicely and additional planting will be done too. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Excellent cottage, a quiet rural spot but still convenient for Aberystwyth.
I would recommend this cottage to friends. Marilyn and Ivor have worked hard to make this a lovely place to stay. It is clean and very well equipped. They made us very welcome and kindly left basic supplies in the fridge as well as bread, lovely biscuits and a bottle of wine. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect holiday cottage and Hosts
A beautiful little holiday cottage, with everything you need for a wonderful peaceful holiday. A lovely warm welcome from Marilyn and a very welcome, welcome pack. You are only ten minutes, by car from the town and beach. This was our second stay here and it was even better than the first. A real gem of a place. Hope to make it a third time.
