About the neighbourhood
Our cottage is right on the edge of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. Stepping out of the front door of the cottage, you are surrounded by majestic and beautiful mountains. Turn to your left and Mount Snowdon is visible from the doorstep - weather permitting of course!
The region is ideal for family holidays and for walkers. There are plenty of sandy beaches to choose from, and walkers can choose between some fairly challenging mountain climbs, or gentler walks along the banks of rivers, in Beddgelert, for example.
For days when the weather is less kind, there are plenty of activities to choose from - adventure grounds, steam railways, slate mine museums, to name a few.
To really get the most out of what the area has to offer, you will need a car.
How to get there

The drive to our cottage is straight forward, especially if you have a SatNav! However, getting to our property by public transport is not so easy. The nearest railway station is at Bangor which is a 35 minute drive away. So unless you are a real public transport enthusiastic, our property is probably not suitable for non car drivers.
