About the neighbourhood
Abergavenny is a busy but unruffled Market Town with lots of interesting shops, pubs and local eateries, famous for its food festival in September and 14 miles from the Cathedral town of Brecon with its annual jazz festival in August. Local restaurants include the nationally acclaimed Walnut Tree whose co-owner Shaun Hill ran the Merchant House Restaurant (won a few gongs) in Ludlow up to early 2005, the Hardwick owned by Stephen Terry of TV fame and the Angel Hotel in Abergavenny which provides the most heavenly afternoon teas. The undulating terrain offeres you splendid views of the surrounding hills and...
Getting around
A car is essential if you wish to visit the many and varied attractions further afield but there are local walks/cycle routes/canal towpath within easy access.
