The Coach House Cottage is one of three holiday accommodations we offer, and it consists of a master bedroom with double bed and en-suite WC/shower room, a twin bedroom, a second WC/shower room, dining area, large lounge with working open fire and vaulted ceiling, equipped kitchen, and a sun-trap courtyard with barbeque and seating.
Typically the Coach House Cottage is ideal for 4 people; a family, or two couples, but there is also the option for a single bed added in the lounge for up to one additional guest - hence the TA details saying "Sleeps 5".

Such a lovely tranquil setting set among the trees. Amazing views, lake, castle, Snowdon and the surrounding hills, in the light the area looks just like a Victorian landscape painting.
Richard is a charming host, full of knowledge about the area.

Great place to stay
Great location for Snowdon and the surrounding area, and just a short walk from the centre of Llanberis and amenities there. The cottage itself was warm, comfortable and had great showers after a long day walking! 5 of us stayed, so we needed to use the living room/sofa bed, but that was fine. Richard the host was very helpful, both before and during our stay. We'd go back there.

Comfortable house close to Snowdon activities.
A gem of a place. We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Yet it was also only a short walk from a number of great places: Llanberis interchange (for Sherpa bus), the start of the Llanberis track up Snowdon, the Slate museum, Padern park, etc etc. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. Richard and his parents were very helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely book this house again.

Great time and recommend
We had a wonderful time in the coach house. The house is fully equipped and very convenient to get into the town, slate museum or Snowdon. It is a traditional cottage and has been well refurbished with lots of light in. Richard is really helpful and responded to our requests fast. And the house offers waste recycling including kitchen waste - this part I really appreciate. Our children had a great fun time in playing in the house. This is a historical cottage and so there is a little damp smell as such a wet winter and spring. We adapted to it quickly. I highly recommend it.

Thank you Lin for your review. I'm so pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay. You're quite right about the "traditional" bit - the cottage was the original stables for the Dinorwig Quarry Manager - and the main house dates back to the 1830's - so very nearly 200 years old!
If ever you decide to return to this part of the country, please do keep us in mind.
Kind regards as always,
Richard.

Lovely accommodation in a great location
Four of us stayed for two nights in the Coach House. It is a lovely place to stay - great size, very well equipped, clean and an unbeatable secluded location in Llanberis. This was perfect for us as we were getting the train up to the top of Snowdon and exploring the PYG track.
Richard, who manages the property, was very friendly, thoughtful and helpful.
I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay if you are looking for a base to explore the area. It would be first on my list of places to stay when I return in the future.

Thank you for your great review Matthew. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you all back here again soon, as there's much more this area has to offer than just the Pyg track!!
Take care, all the best,
Richard.

Characterful and Great Location
We have stayed here twice, once in the amazing Coach House in Christmas 2018 and we had such an atmospheric experience we came back to stay in the Peris Apartment this year.
We originally paid for the Peris but because of an electrical issue, the owner, Richard upgraded us to the Coach House which made our stay.
The self catered Hotel is family run in an old Victorian mansion and the Coach house is a lovely slate built shepherds hut with a cosy fire and a telly, a spacious fully equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, perfect for a cosy romantic retreat.
The Peris Apartment is not as nice as the Coach House but it is still good accommodation with great heating and everything you need, the decor is quite dated and reminded me of my Grandmother's house, but to be honest, I don't really care, its a Victorian mansion it should look the part! =) Again the apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, but the television was a bit worse for wear so don't expect a quality family movie night. Unfortunately we couldn't go on the veranda which overlooked Llanberis because the wood had rotted but I'm sure Richard will have that fixed by Summer. All that said, the hotels Location is perfect for British Isles Explorers who want to enjoy Snowdonia, the centre of Llanberis with the train station and mountain train to Snowdon are literally walking distance, as is the Slate museum and Dolbadarn Castle ruins so you're in the heart of Snowdonia. Its nice accomodation, Richard seemed very willing to help with anything we needed and I'd recommend it and a good base for exploring North Wales!

Sorry Neil - only just seen your review!! :-/ Anyway, thank you for your candid and honest review :-) Elderly parents mean certain things move at a glacial pace! But further and continuing changes and improvements are in the pipeline for this winter, and as I'm all departments, most of it falls on my shoulders, including goat herding! Haha :-(
Anyway, I'll look forward to seeing you again at some point in the near future, without the "shock" :-)
All the best, Richard.
