Perfect Hideaway & Lovely Hosts
Fabulous hosts and lovely place. Perfect little retreat and has everything you need for a few days chilling or as a base for exploring South Wales. Excellent access to Cardiff. Would definitely book again. Thank you

Fabulous
Great location to access the Taff Trail. Spotlessly clean accommodation. We were made to feel very welcome by our friendly host. One of the best Indian Restaurants a short walk away. Don't take notice of any negative reviews this is a great place to stay!

Lovely cosy, modern and clean cottage and friendly hosts
Clean and modern cottage with a small accessible garden. Easy parking and only 2 doors down from 'Fagins Craft beer house' that has lovely food. Next to the rail track but you get used to the sound very quickly.

Great weekend break
We booked this apartment for a weekend visit to Cardiff to watch our son take part in the half marathon. Two adults plus a Beagle stayed for 2 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed a walk up Garth Hill with its spectacular views over to Cardiff and across to Somerset. We used The Spice Ambassador in the village for a takeaway and enjoyed a drink at the Gwaelod y Garth Inn (a short walk - downhill on the way back!) with its interesting choice of beers. Robert was very welcoming and gave us plenty of information about the area. Would be happy to come back to Railway Cottage to see more of the local area.

Excellent little cottage
My partner and I and our 3 little dogs stayed here whilst visiting family 4-6 February 2022. I don't know who posted the fake review for 5th Feb but they certainly weren't at Railway Cottage! I think we'd have noticed someone else under the bed. We really enjoyed it. It was very clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped with everything we needed. The owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Location is fantastic for a walk up the famous Garth Mountain. Can't fault it, would recommend and stay again.

Great stay
A great place for a couple of night's with the dog too. Clean, warm and comfortable. Convenient for Cardiff but quiet too, even the trains didn't bother us. Hosts very helpful and friendly.

A beautiful hideaway!
A beautiful cottage & hideaway for a relaxed 3 night stay. The cottage was immaculate & had everything you needed making it feel very homely. Rob was a superb host who was very kind & informative of the local area upon our arrival. Beautiful walks nearby which our dog enjoyed also! We also enjoyed watching the trains go past on the opposite train line. Thank-you for a lovely & relaxing stay, we would highly recommend this place.

Family meet up
We stayed here, in December, (12-14) with our dog. Our trip was to have an early Christmas with family locally. Excellent find. Beautiful, cosy and warm cottage, with a safe garden area for our dog. Such a warm welcome for us from the hosts and they were so helpful and accommodating by providing us with extra chairs so we could entertain our family. The cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we could possibly need or want. We will definitely stay again and I highly recommend.

Welcoming and Friendly
Fantastic location, close to local shops and an amazing local Welsh pub but also close enough to Cardiff for a day out if needed. Great info provided by Rob upon arrival with details of things to do locally. Cottage is well equipped and makes you feel you are secluded and in disturbed. The garden was a great bonus for us as we have a small dog. Would highly recommend.

Welcoming warm and friendly
Such a lovely stay and such a lovely host. Stayed in the cottage for over a month when originally booked a week. In the situation due to unforeseen circumstances we had to extend our stay last moment Rob and his family were more then helpful to assist us. Cottage is well equipped, hidden with own garden. You feel completely not disturb by anything. Accepting pets is more then a bonus to all. Multiple dogs walks is benefit as well. Also cottage is located very close to motorway when you can trip both directions to visit places. If you looking for a quiet location with lots of pretty views and friendly people around the cottage is more then recommenced. Rob is more then superhost and helpful with anything.
