Gortconny Cottage is a recently renovated farmhouse in an area of outstanding natural beauty 2 miles west of Ballycastle town centre, it is set in a 3/4 acre site on the coast road. Gortconny sleeps 8 people in four bedrooms, one 5' double bed, one 4' compact double and two bunk rooms. There is one large kitchen, dining living area with an open fire and one bathroom with electric shower. The cottage has been recently renovated and is well equipped including micowave and washing machine, but it is really for those who want to get away from it all and as such has no TV, wifi nor telephone, (mobile phone signal somewhere between the couch and the dining table). The name Gortconny comes from the Irish - Field of the Rabbit - and you'll probably see a few during your visit. What a wonderfully tranquil place. Visited with our family and were delighted by the quality of the accommodation. Real peat fire keeps you cosy at night and the abundance of windows at the property means you are always flooded by light on even the gloomiest...More

The cottage has been sympathetically modernised in recent times and combines traditional charms with all the latest facilities and requirements of the present day visitor. You can use this house as a base...More

This is a great cottage, very high quality design and location. The Ballycastle area is full of things to do, friendly locals and good pubs. I Would highly rate Gortconny Cottage for a laid back holiday base.
