There were 10 of us and we found these two cottages side by side to be ideal. We met up to eat/play board games together in the larger one but could retreat next door if a bit more peace was needed. My disabled elderly mother loved looking out at the loch whilst sat in bed with her morning cuppa - a real treat with all doors and curtains open to enjoy the view. In her words the disabled wet room was also 'the best she had ever come across'. The open fire in the smaller cottage was a real treat too - shame there wasn't a toasting fork for completing the winter warmer image. There were just two small things that could make it perfect - the bath in the smaller cottage is slippery when showering and a rubber mat would aid safety and the floor slopes towards the carpet in the bathroom in the larger cottage so it was difficult to stop it getting wet. The welcome packs in both cottages were thoroughly enjoyed too and above the norm including wine, juice, milk, tea, coffee and sugar. I would return again tomorrow if I could and stay much longer.

I rented both cottages at the end of September for one of my son's 30th birthday weekend away. There were 11 of us and they suited us perfectly. We loved the cottages with well stocked kitchens, they were nice and clean and showers were great. The large area's for off road parking for our four cars was ideal. Maria and Colin who own this properties have thought of everything. Both cottages are clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and upgraded to a high standard. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything to hand with a lovely large table in the dining room for family meals. As it was a birthday weekend we used the larger cottage most of the time and moved dining tables into the larger cottage this allow us to cook a full birthday dinner and we could all eat together. The gardens at the back are very safe and secure for children to play and a gate between both cottages at the back gave easy access without having to go out onto the main road. The views out of the front of the cottages were lovely and there is a wood out back to go wandering around. There is lots of information in the itinerary folder on the cottages and local walks - activities etc, which we found useful. However, on our leaving day we travelled back to Balloch - Loch Lomond were we had a booking for Treezone Adventure ( a bit like GO Ape), which is not mentioned in the information but it is well worth a visit. Treezone is suitable from 7-years +. If I have one slight comment it would be that the double beds all creeked at the slightest movement, that said all the rooms were tastfully decorated and we would definitely stay again. Travel cots and high chairs are supplied it would have been helpful if a stair gate had been supplied as we 4 children with us and one was 10-month old who constantly escaped towards the stairs and chase the older ones. We arrive on the Friday evening with re-arranged instructions regarding the keys, which was great. Colin called round, Saturday lunchtime to introduce himself and to check everything was to our satisfaction which was lovely. As we were only staying from Friday until Sunday, the Lochview Cottage was booked out from the Sunday afternoon and we had to vacate by 10am, which was fine however, Colin offered us the use of the Lochside Cottage until 12-noon which was a lovely gesture and we really appreciated the extra couple of hours to enjoy breakfast and take in the views before heading down to Loch Lomond for our Treezone Aventure. I am really pleased I booked these cottages for the birthday weekend. My son loved having his sister, 2-brothers, neices, nephew, brother in law, myself and partner there to celebrate. We will definitely book again and hopefully stay longer next time.

Thank you for your comments. Like you, many guests book both cottages to accommodate a larger group or extended family. We're delighted that the cottages helped to make the birthday celebrations special and we look forward to welcoming you back some time in the future.

Been rather tardy at reviewing this property but we had such a good time it has stayed in my mind that I had to get round to it at some point! We loved the cottages themselves, well stocked kitchens, nice and clean with good showers. Parking for four cars off road and a couple more on the other side. Not huge but decent sized bedrooms all round. Whilst we were there the oil fired boiler went on the blink. Within a couple of hours the owner had a service technician out and the problem was sorted within a couple more. Fantastic considering it was the day before new year. The views out of the front of the cottages were lovely and there's a wood out back to go wandering around if you so desire. I think the only real dislike we had were the slightly insubstantial beds. They weren't un-comfy particularly but seemed to be very lightweight and they moved around the room at the slightest touch - in or out of them. As we were renting both properties it would also have been nice to get from one to the other without going all the way down one drive, along the road and up the other. Maybe a gate at the back?

The couple who own this property have thought of everything. We stayed in the larger of the cottages and it was clean, comfortable and has been tastefully decorated and upgraded to a very high standard. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything to hand with a lovely large table in the dining room for family meals. It is so relaxing to wake up and look out of the large front windows and see beautiful Loch Fyne. There is a lovely garden out the back of the property for children to play safely. We also enjoyed walks along the shore-line and even heard the beavers at Knapdale Forest and were able to view their dam.
