We have a travel cot and and air bed available which would allow a child to stay. The newly extended and upgraded shower room has a power shower, WC and wash hand basin. Hand and bath towels, hand soap and toilet roll are provided. The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has recently been reconfigured. There is a comfortable leather settee, comfy chair and footstool, smart TV with Freeview, breakfast bar, microwave, washing machine, electric cooker and oven, fridge and Tassimo coffee machine. There are books and DVD's as well as local travel guides and maps. The living room opens out through patio doors onto a bright sunny decking with table and chairs which has stunning views over the roof tops to Oban Bay, perfect for soaking up some Scottish sun after a busy day island hopping or beach combing! Bed linen, bath and hand towels, tea towels, kitchen roll, coffee, tea, sugar, washing up liquid, cleaning products, hand soap and toilet paper are all included in the price. ***Due to the current pandemic we are asking you to help us with a few things before checking out. We hope these will in some way help to keep you, future guests, our community and our family safe. We very much appreciate your assistance**** * tie bedding and towels including tea towels and cloths in bin bags * wash, dry and put away all dishes used * dispose of any rubbish and recycling * take home any unused food, condiments and toiletries * open windows before you leave **COVID-19** We are committed to ensuring that every inch of the apartment is spotlessly clean and disinfected between guests. We wash linen, towels, and mattress and pillow protectors with antibacterial washing liquid and change at every clean. We wear the relevant PPE while carrying out the cleaning. Cleaning products, hand sanitiser and laundry bags are provided to help you to keep the apartment clean during your stay. **Due to the elevated location of the property there are 15 steps down to the garden and a further 6 up to the entrance of the flat. The walk back from town involves a fairly steep but short hill.** Our local Tesco’s does home delivery so you can organise your supplies before you come. My husband and I are Oban born and bred and with our two daughters we are often out and about exploring our local area. We eat out regularly too so we are happy to share insider tips and information on places to visit and restaurant recommendations.More

Great little place with a great location, only a few blocks from downtown. The last two are uphill along the quiet road. Pleasant couple, renting a nice apartment, with all the needed amenities.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Oban. Lovely view from top of town across to harbour, self contained accommodation with everything you need for a weekly stay. Nice breakfast area, comfy bed and very quiet. Although in a town, you wouldn't think so...More

About the neighbourhood
We are lucky to live in a quiet, peaceful , green area on the edge of town but are still only a short 10/15 minute walk to Oban town centre, ferry terminal, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. The leisure centre, playing field and play park are a couple of minutes walk away and if you are visiting for an event the Corran Halls and Argyllshire Gathering Halls just 5 minutes away. During the tourist season from Easter to October Oban is a very busy seaside town. The town attracts visitors who enjoy island hopping, hiking, beaches, seafood, cycling, kayaking, wildlife, cafe and bar culture and amazing sunsets! Even during the winter Oban has a lot to offer, all be it a lot darker and colder!
Getting around
There is a regular public bus route which stops a few yards from the house and runs all around town. A 416 and a 417 will take you to most places in town. Oban and surrounding area is easily navigated using public transport so your car can stay in the drive. There are a couple of options for bike hire in town. We don’t have Uber but there are plenty of taxi’s. There is a regular train between Oban and Glasgow stopping at lots of interesting locations in the way.
