About the neighbourhood
Enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet of the unique and unspoiled upper reaches of The Ettrick Valley, Scottish Borders, one of the most ecologically interesting areas identified in Scotland.

Elspinhope cottage is located on our farm yards from the Cossarshill burn. Ettrick Water (SSSI) runs approximately 200 meters from the door.
Cossarshill is a working hill sheep farm lying on the route of The Southern Upland Way long distance walk.
Getting around
Sorry there is no regular public transport locally, however there is a shopping bus from Ettrick to Selkirk & Hawick on Tuesdays & Galashiels on Fridays. This only runs if you pre-book & leaves / returns from / to Ettrick Primary School (1.5 miles). Once in the local towns there is a good bus service.

The new Borders Railway service runs from Tweedbank Station, near Melrose. The 30 mile track takes 55 minutes to travels through beautiful scenery to Edinburgh's Waverley Station.
