We were in the area to research some family history and stayed at Romac for 2 nights, while exploring Glasgow. The cottage was quite spacious inside but would benefit from a few more homely touches to make it feel a little more welcoming. The lovely kitchen area was modern and had excellent appliances. It was a joy to prepare our evening meals in, while sipping a glass of wine. A real bonus was the cottage's proximity to the Troon ferry, as we left from here to visit Ireland. It took us no time at all to reach the ferry. Our hostess Dione, was very welcoming and lived quite close by if needed. We found this cottage a very suitable base to use for our travels in this area.
