This stunning top-floor apartment is situated in the heart of Edinburgh's fashionable Stockbridge, recently voted one of the top five best urban places to live in Scotland. Close to the Botantic Gardens, Inverleith Park, Fettes College, Modern Art Gallery and the city's historic sites, the property dates from 1870 and has recently been thoroughly renovated, while retaining many original features.

The flat is bright, airy and south-facing. It comprises large kitchen and dining area, beautiful bay-windowed sitting room, double bedroom and box bedroom fitted with handmade ship-style bunk beds. There is a shared private garden to the rear.

The owner, born and bred in Edinburgh, is a photographer and the flat is decorated with his black-and-white and colour landscapes from various locations in Scotland.

Stayed with my family for a week. My kids - 7 and 9 - loved the bunk beds. The flat is neat and well equipped and has great access to Stockbridge which is a lovely part of Edinburgh. Cool and quirky, Stockbridge is a one of the most desirable districts in Edinburgh. With local cafes, pubs, restaurants, a Waitrose and vintage clothes shops a couple of streets away, and the West End, the Botanic Gardens and national art galleries all around 10-15 minutes' walk away, the flat is ideally situated for getting the most out of your stay in the city.
Getting around
The flat is well-connected by means of public transport to all areas of the city including Edinburgh Airport, St Andrews Square bus station and Waverley and Haymarket train stations. There is a bus stop right at the end of the street with buses to the centre of town. Bus timetables are included in the flat welcome pack. On-street metered parking costs £2.00 per hour and is free from 5.30 in the evening to 8.30 in the morning seven days a week and all weekend. Twenty-four hour a day free on-street parking is ten minutes walk away.
