Loved the location of this apartment, really easy walk from Glasgow Central Station and such a good location to explore Glasgow. Picking up the key was very easy and the hosts were very responsive (and helpful) to my questions pre-arrival. Well equipped apartment, powerful showers, dishwasher and very comfy beds, we loved being in a busy part of Glasgow with lots of good cafe's etc nearby. The apartment had good facilities for cooking, but as we were on holiday we used the local Dominoes (Opposite ) & Subway (just along the road). Uber eats also delivered. Big test for me is always would I come back, and I most certainly would.

I didn't appreciate being charged 35 pounds sterling for an early check in (10.30am), despite having 3 young children with us who sorely needed to sleep after a transatlantic flight (I gave the managers 4 months' notice of this early check in, but it didn't make any difference - they still charged me). I also didn't appreciate being accused of taking their garage key home with us when we left the apartment: they refused to return my security deposit until they realized that they had made a mistake because of their own negligence. Won't stay there again, wouldn't recommend.

We are sorry this guest did not have an excellent stay with us. The reason for the early check-in charge (the guest arranged 9am but finally arrived at 10.30am) is that we need to block the apartment to stop it booking the night before as check-out is not till 11am; the nominal early check-in fee is considerably less than the cost of a night's booking, but we do this as a gesture of goodwill to guests. We are sorry that the guest did not appreciate this but happily agreed to the charge in advance. We contacted the guest after they departed but after a delayed response the guest claimed that he did not take the garage remote control. After much debate, we waived the charge for this; the garage remote control was certainly not left in the apartment and we have had to order a new one at our own expense. All guests when they have parking are provided with a garage remote and instructions for parking. We are reviewing our procedure for this to avoid any uncertainty in future.

We stayed for 6 nights with our family (7 in total) and we had a great time. Apartment is just minutes from the Merchant City and less than 10 minutes to major shops and railway if required. Access to and from the M8 is a breeze. The apartments are spacious, clean and beautifully maintained and the team at Principal Apartments are always willing to go that extra mile to help you.

The location is great and excellent apartment/facilities. Very central to the City with good bars/restaurants within the local vicinity.

Stayed at the Tollbooth apartments for the past 3 weeks , Flats are absolutely spot on , Central as can be but quiet as a mouse , Everything you need are in the Apartments , The company that run them are superb, Customer service is second to none !! Would highly recommend these Apartments

On entering the apartment we were really pleased to find it was tastefully decorated in a modern style. It was very clean and well maintained ( to a standard higher than we've seen before). Good fast internet and smart tv, two bathroms, one en suite and all the facilities we needed inc welcome pack towels etc. We were also well looked after by the Principal team. The apartment is centrally located, about 5-10 mins from Glasgow Central Station, but it also has secure underground parking and lift access. Being in the Merchant City area there was plenty of choice of restaurants, bars and delis etc. Main shopping districts about 5 mins away. If youve not been to Glasgow before, you should. It's a great city with plenty t see and do and this is a great base to see it from.
