The apartment is a leisurely ten minute walk into the main city square (George Square) or you can take a five minute walk to the Style Mile starting on Argyle Street, on to Buchanan Street and turning into Sauchiehall street. Glasgow remains the city of choice in Scotland, the city has a well-deserved reputation and is regularly voted the UK shopping destination outside of London. All tastes are catered for, from the more exclusive boutiques of Princes Square and the Italian Centre, to the independent retailers and thrift stores of the West End, and not forgetting the Glasgow institution The Barras Market. Royal Exchange Square and nearby streets feature popular venues such as Mas, The Social, One up, Cathouse and The Tunnel. Many more are spread across the city centre. With a large and vibrant gay community, the city centre features a number of gay bar and nightclubs as well as many clubs featuring their own gay night once a week. Popular venues include The Polo Lounge, AXM, Katies Bar, Moda, Delmonicas and Underground, most of which are situated within the Merchant City Area. There is something for everyone in Glasgow. Bus & train links in and around the city centre will take you anywhere you need to go, Glasgow is a great walking city, not as hilly as Edinburgh so shopping doesn't have to be done at a heavy pace
