Welcome to The Shelter Stone Cottage which is centrally located on the main road in Aviemore, diagonally opposite The Church of Scotland. There is off road parking for 2 cars in front of the cottage.

The cottage is located in an ideal position for those using public transport too as it is only a 10 minute walk from the railway station (or a few minutes in a taxi). It is also handy for all the restaurants and bars on the main street.

The west facing living room has comfortable seating for 4 and also has a dining table and chairs. The kitchen has an electric cooker with ceramic hob; microwave; fridge (with small freezer compartment); small wine fridge; dishwasher and a washing machine.

Please note the advertised price is for 2 people staying in the cottage. There is an additional charge per night for a 3rd and 4th person. Please advise at time of booking if you are bringing a pet with you on holiday. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed to stay in the cottage.... a pet fee charge of £10 per pet is payable on arrival at the property. Please do not leave them unattended in the cottage unless they are in a cage or allow them on the furniture.
There is no charge for use of the travel cot but please advise me in advance if you would like to use it so that the bedlinen and duvet can be ready for you.

About the neighbourhood
Aviemore is in the Cairngorm National Park in the Highlands of Scotland.

There are many sights in and around a 10 mile radius of Aviemore.
eg Cairngorm mountain and Rothiemurchas: The RSPB hide at Boat of Garten: The Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig (new polar bear cub in 2018): Landmark Adventure Park at Carrbridge. These are just a few of the wide variety of things to see and do around us.
Aviemore is also a good spot to base yourself as the Whisky trail, Castle trail are only a couple of things within a couple of hours drive.
Inverness is only 30 miles away with the dolphins in the Moray Firth and Fort George on the coast well worth seeing.
Getting around
There is a local bus service in the area and a steam train runs most days between Aviemore and The Boat of Garten. National train service stops in Aviemore and Inverness is the nearest airport.

How to get there
Entering Aviemore from the South, pass Tesco on your left, head straight ahead at the next roundabout at the Red Cross Charity shop. The Shelter Stone Cottage is just up on the left side of Grampian Road, diagonally opposite The Church of Scotland. If you are coming from the North, when you see the War Memorial on your left side you are almost there! The Shelter Stone Cottage shares an entrance with The Park Guest House and The Shelter Stone

There is off road parking for 2 cars in front of the cottage.
