The house, which is of a traditional stone and slate construction, has an elevated position with views to the north and east. It has a large, private rear garden, with a roundel in front and ample parking for several cars. Traditional in style, Blingery (rhymes with 'gingery') House boasts some lovely original features including decorative cornices, working window shutters, and open fireplaces. Blingery House and it’s gardens are beautiful - we loved staying here and can’t wait to visit again. It has everything you could possibly need within the house for preparing meals and cooking and the supermarket is a short drive away to pick up any...More

About the neighbourhood
Blingery House sits adjacent to a working farm, with sheep and Highland cattle. Because of this we must ask that visiting dogs be kept under control when walking. The nearest town of Wick has a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants and an attractive harbour. Ferries run from Scrabster, near Thurso and Gills Bay, west of John O' Groats, to Orkney, which is well worth a visit. Caithness is a well established agricultural area, fringed to the north and east by dramatic coastal scenery. There are golf courses nearby and Caithness is held in very high regard by salmon and trout fishermen.
