Bright, cosy flat iin the spectacular city of Edinburgh, a short bus ride from the centre but like being in the country! The flat has its own small garden and entrance, the upstairs of a converted 1920's house with open views to fields and golf course. There's a great bus service to the city centre, yet the flat lies in Blackford Glen on a wee road leading to a nature reserve. Here you can simetimes see herons and deer and max 15 mins later be soaking up the history and attractions of the ancient city. The building itself isn't a beauty, the street is an old farm road - don't let this put you off!, it's perfectly driveable and there is plenty of free parking. The flat itself is charming, and the location great for getting into and out of the city.

Beautiful flat in lovely quiet location with lovely views. Shops and buses to Edinburgh close by. Perfect location.

Very comfortable and well appointed flat in a great location with wonderful views. We enjoyed a relaxing and memorable stay. The owner was very helpful and welcoming as well.

About the neighbourhood
Very peaceful and quiet. Blackford Glen Road has a very large field on one side and a golf course on the other; it leads to a Nature Reserve. There are only a small number of houses on one side of this road for a short section of its length. The Blackford Burn runs alongside the road all the way to Blackford Hill and the Braid Hills. There is no through traffic, yet we are close to bus stops and the city centre is a 15 minute ride away. It is extremely close to Edinburgh University Kings Buildings.
Getting around
3 minute walk to the bus stop. Edinburgh has a first class bus service which runs buses and trams all over the city.

Ferry: Rosyth: 36.0 km
Best way from any direction is to take the Edinburgh City ByPass A720 and take the STRAITON EXIT. From there it is approx 4km in a direct drive (no turns) to the junction at the foot of Liberton Brae, turn Left into Blackford Glen Road.
