Spacious Rural Retreat close to beach
Spacious 2 bed house along the Wild Atlantic Way close to the beach. Family friendly with a great outdoor area. Marie is very friendly and informative. 30 mins from Sligo, 40 mins from Ballina, lots of stunning views to see while driving. Highly recommend staying here :)

Amazing house and host
What a beautiful house and a amazing host. From the minute we walked in until the minute we left we found Marie to be generous, accommodating and gracious. Marie provided fresh free range eggs and some other delicious treats. The house is just a hop skip and a jump away from the beach and the house is very central to everything Sligo can provide. The house was really spacious but at the same time cosy. Lovely stay and would definitely visit again.

A wonderful house in beautiful Sligo.
We stayed in Hammer Hill House in August for a week. Marie the owner was amazing. Such a lovely lady and so friendly. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We are a family of five & each of us enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The house is immacuale. Everything was there that we needed. Marie gave us lots of her beautiful hens eggs, a gorgeous coffee cake from the bakery & treats for my children when we were leaving. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Very close to Dunmoran strand and a local grocery. So so peaceful here. Thank you Marie for your wonderful house & a great holiday that we will always remember.

A great, friendly and comfortable Sligo base
We stayed for a week at Hammerhill house and can genuinely say that it was a great base for our holiday. When we arrived, we actually thought we were in the wrong house as it is far bigger than it seemed! Marie presented the place spotlessly, which is very reassuring in the current climate. Her information provided in advance about all of this meant you knew you were arriving to somewhere you would be able to relax in and enjoy. The house is well kitted out with all you could need. Lovely fluffy towels were in abundance. Bedding was fresh and the beds were comfortable. DVDs, books and games were great to have when the weather turned. The outside room was a hit with our children and the gardens are fantastic. Marie is an excellent hostess balancing friendliness with professionalism perfectly. She was so kind to our children bringing the 3 dogs over so they could throw the ball for them, even in the rain! The eggs she dropped in were a treat and the choc brownies on that wet day were such a lovely touch. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a home away from home in Sligo. 5 ⭐️!

A Magical Place in a rural setting
Our experience of our week spent in Marie’s lovely house was a treat from start to finish. The location and scenery surrounding the house is breathtakingly gorgeous. It is a 15 minute walk to the coast with views of Knocknarea, Slieve League and the dramatic coastline. Dunmoran Strand is about 3 kilometers away, fabulous beach for walking and swimming. Then just beyond is the stunning walk around Aughris Head with the choice of finishing up at the Beach Bar ! The house is spotless, spacious well equipped and really comfortable, lovely gardens in the farm setting. We ate outside mostly in the outdoor room with stunning views of the Ox mountains. Highly recommended

Fabulous
Marie's accommodation was most comfortable, homely and extremely clean with everything you would need for a very pleasant stay. Most importantly too, the beds were very comfortable! She has a small outhouse where you can go and relax also if you wish. There is nothing that Marie hasn't thought of. She was very friendly and made suggestions for restaurants in the area as well as local beaches etc. The property was in the country, which we loved, but still close to Sligo town and other areas. Marie also left us eggs from her chickens which was so thoughtful. We had a lovely family holiday there! Thank you Marie. ☺️

Beautiful house; in a perfect location close to lovely beaches
From the moment we arrived we were very happy with everything. the house was spotlessly clean, and well set up to deal with the current covid restrictions. The house is approx 3km from a lovely long sandy beach, which was never overly busy, and great to go for long walks. The house was bigger than we thought; and I don;t think the listing description does it justice; with loads of space for the three of us to relax in the evenings. The outside garden house was well used for meals and sitting relaxing reading. We had every facility needed - a real home from home. Marie had kindly provided some treats for us on arrival - bottle of wine, chocolates and soft drinks for my daughter which was very thoughtful. We also had a nice surprise a couple of days in when farm fresh eggs laid by her hens were left on our doorstep. We had a great stay at the end of July - very happy to recommend the house to anyone - and Marie's exceptional hosting skills enhanced our stay. She has a great balance of being attentive - without being intrusive.

Great location, wonderful house, and Marie was the perfect host!
We have just returned from a holiday at Hammer Hill House and I have to say a big thanks to Marie for helping us have such a wonderful time. The location was great, a short drive to amazing beaches and not too far from Sligo. The house was spotless and well equipped, and the wifi kept 2 teenagers very happy. Marie was the perfect host, kind, warm and welcoming and very responsive to any queries. Highly recommended.
