This unique wooden house takes pride of place on 3 private acres of land in a secured property of 37 acres. It is open to terraces and is very light and bright inside. It has the charm of a family home and uses all modern comforts such as automatic shutters or heated floors..........wood and antiques give a delicious feeling of exotic holidays. Children will love the trampoline and the swimming pool of 19 meters long. Also 2 horses live around the house and the garden. The combination of elegant countryside and fashionable sea side shore offers to both parents and children, various the possibilities of sports and distractions.

With 5 bedrooms, this was a luxurious house to make ourselves at home in, accessed through a private gated enclosure. Very private and very quiet. 3 bedrooms upstairs with games room and tv made it ideal for the parents and the 5 year old and 12 year old - a family floor. Downstairs were 2 en-suite bedrooms, the kitchen, utility room and spacious lounge. The decking at key points around the house meant it was easy to find sun or shade and the pool was very warm and an absolute delight. Also plenty of grass to play outside games. We did a lot of home cooking and bbq’ing - the fridge and freezer were large, ovens and hob were easy and efficient with plenty of crockery and glasses. Some of the chipped crockery should be thrown away and there are some very stale cupboards and cooking utensils in the kitchen. All of them should be cleaned out and freshened up. The rusty bbq should just be thrown - we used the stone one on the ground but a clean rack would have been helpful. The dishwasher worked most times but was temperamental whether it dissolved the dishwasher tablet or not! Both the owner and housekeeper were very responsive when required and with a few updating touches, this Lodge is highly recommended. Pont l’Eveque is pretty wth good butchers, greengrocers, bakeries, cafes and restaurants - it is a beautiful Ville Fleurie to meander through and only a 10 minutes drive away. Honfleur and the beaches of Villers sur mer, Deauville, etc are a mere 30 mins away and worth the visit. Don’t miss the markets. So, once you’ve got over the shock of SO many mounted animal heads and animal artefacts throughout the Lodge, this is a wonderful rental. Thank you Jerome. And Christine.

We spent 2 weeks here, 2 boys, dog and parents/in laws. It was perfect, great house, grounds and location in such a lovely part of France. The owner and his cleaner/manager were a joy to deal with, which made the stay even better. The local town is great with an amazing baker which we drove to most mornings. (You will need a car!) This lodge is ideal for kids, the pool, trampoline, the ground etc. With the town and then Deuaville a delight for them and for us.

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge, the grounds are beautiful and very quiet we made full use of the heated pool with our teenagers as we did with the table tennis. The house its self is also beautiful all the rooms are well furnished and very comfortable with enough space for our group there was 7 of us! We were greeted by the cleaner and she was lovely and very helpful even though I can't speak much French and she couldn't speak much English she tried very hard to explain all about the house and We really appreciated it. I would recommend this house it is a lovely family home with lots of family photos which makes it feel homely, the only thing I would change would be a few less animal heads but that's just my personal preference.

We spent a wonderful two weeks here and were very pleased with the accommodations. This is not your standard rental. The Lodge is a well maintained home that happens to be available to those who choose to vacation in Normandy. Wonderful family photographs enhance the very personal details that can be found throughout the house. The grounds are well kept and we made good use of the pool, trampoline and Ping Pong table. Our afternoons and evenings were spent on the wonderful terrace overlooking the meandering horses. Our only advisory would be that only one of the four available bathrooms has a shower. All others have only a bathtub and require some amount of maneuvering to avoid getting walls, wooden floors and decorations wet. The owner was very forthcoming.

This lodge is a wonderfully luxurious place to stay with a fantastic heated outdoor heated pool the highlight. The house is quite beautiful and superbly and thoughtfully furnished as a hunting lodge complete with stuffed animals. Loads of bathrooms and lounge space. There are huge grass areas for the kids to run around, to play football, rounders, cricket etc. We spent the first week lounging by the pool. Very relaxing and the lodge is very quiet. Wifi. BBQ. If you just want to chill out but still have things on hand for the kids to do the lodge is ideal. Also perfect for larger groups. The owner Jerome is very helpful and speaks fluent English and he has a local man on call to assist with any problems and do check-in/out. The pool has an electric covering for child safety. The only real downside is that you cannot really walk to any bars/restaurants/shops but then you are trading that for the seclusion, privacy and quiet . Deauville, Honfleur all close (c. 30-45 mins drive). The nearest town Pont l'Eveque (15 mins drive) is charming offering plenty of shopping and restaurants and lots of parking. Honfleur is really worth a visit. Caen is about an hour away and less compelling. Some of the local markets and events are well worth checking out and there is a cider trail as this is apple/Calvados country. Overall, if you want a rest with luxurious facilities, with lots to do on hand in a sumptuous lodge you cannot go wrong here. For me the relatively short drive from Calais was another big factor. Thoroughly recommended.

This is a beautiful wooden house in a peaceful location yet with easy access to other places of interest. The house itself is very comfortable and the house and pool are well maintained. There is also a trampoline, swings and slide and ping pong table for the younger visitor. While we were there, there were two horses in the adjacent field which were lovely to observe. We found plenty to see and do within an area of anything up to 2 hours away with the nearby town of Honfleur being a particular favourite of ours. In 2013 we also visited Deauville, Avranches, Mont St. Michel, Dinan and Monets Gardens at Giverney. We have booked again for 2014 and this time we plan to take the train from Deauville to Paris for a day. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Hubby my 3 year old and i stayed here with my brother, his wife and two girls 5 & 8. Super villa, simply amazing, Jérôme is really lovely to deal with, the villa is situated well for loads of family outings to the surrounding district and Normandy sites to see. The villa itself is like walking into an interior magazine spread, it's so stylish and yet we didn't feel on edge with the girls; you feel like you in the Hamptons but in there you in chic Normandy. The pool is amazing and a trampoline is available too should the energy levels still permit, the villa itself is a little off the beaten track however the village around 5km away has a wonderful bakery, restaurants and a few cool shops and town square; really very friendly people in the village. Go stay if you are looking for a elegant pad with a heated pool for the family and day trips to beautiful Normandy!

This was the best holiday home I have ever stayed in. Loads of space, both inside and out, the house was beautifully and originally furnished with great facilities. The outdoor heated swimming pool was a real asset, our kids were hardly out of it. The table tennis also went down brilliantly. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, with the picturesque town of Pont L'Eveque just 6km away. We are already planning a return.

This holiday rental was, without doubt, one of the best we've stayed in. Booking - all by e-mail - was easy. The deposit & payment was unique in that I had to send a cheque to Paris for the deposit & then arrive with the rental amount in cash. Unique but it worked. The directions were poor & I couldn't, for the life of me, see where we were going before setting out. Which was a pity because its my preference to arrive my locations in the sat nav, so that I can mentally switch off. Great location, super house, eaasy days out & great food in/out within 30mins drive. The wifi was useful too - allowing us to plan days in the evening before. You'd need to be OK with the stuffed dead things - of which there's lots. My son was intrigued & set about counting eye balls for his amusement. Thinking about it ? Just go.
