Ty Newydd y Llwyn is a beautiful, 18th century stone built cottage off the beaten track and at 600 feet, has lovely views across the Vale of Clwyd. It is set in its own rambling wildlife friendly garden and is part of the owners' 15 acre property. Behind the cottage, the fields border hundreds of acres of common land so this is an ideal spot for walking and enjoying splendid views across North Wales towards Snowdonia and the coast.
The interior is a mixture of original features, sympathetically restored and contemporary comfort. The living room has the original oak-beamed inglenook with woodburner but there is also oil fired central heating for background warmth. The kitchen is large and well equipped for the discerning cook, has exposed oak beams and rafters and looks out onto the garden. The cupboards are crafted from old pews a...

Fabulous location tucked away up the hillside. Walking on the doorstep in all directions. Wonderful views down the valley. Plenty to do in the local area ( we were here for the gliding) but also gems such as Bodnant Gardens are not far away. Cottage is cosy with log burner for a The cooler evenings. Plenty of games and books,...

We were 2 couples walking the final leg of Offa's Dyke and this was the perfect base from which to do it. The lovely cottage at the end of a track adjacent to The Path is extremely well furnished and our hosts Judith and Oliver could not have been more attentive.........especially when Storm Doris did her best to blow our...

About the neighbourhood
Ty Newydd y Llwyn nestles in a sheltered spot on Moel y Parc, one of the Clwydian Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an ideal base for walking part of the northern section of Offa's Dyke, a long distance footpath stretching the length of Wales which passes very close to the cottage. The owners' fields border a large area of common land within the AONB offering lots of opportunities for walking and wonderful views across to Snowdonia, the coast and eastwards to the Cheshire plain and Morecambe Bay.
Denbigh, 5 miles away, is an interesting little town with a long history and records dating back to the 11th century. The castle and town walls are well worth a visit after morning coffee in one of the town's cafes. Nearby Ruthin is a medieval town with half-ti...
