Condo/Apartment
The apartment is located on the back of an art gallery in the premium location 'Bremer Fedelhören' in the rear building on Rembertikirchweg. The Fedelhören is a popular street with attractive offers in antiques, art, high quality designer clothes, ornaments, delicatessen, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is very quiet in spite of its very central location close to the Musical Theatre, the Central, Cathedral, Domshof, Roland and shopping area. Spacious living area with open kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, all newly built in 2008. Bremen takes its place in the ranks of the once mighty European Hanseatic cities. Equally still, both Bremen and Hamburg are proud of their historic harbours. Bremen is positioned just after Hamburg as the Countries' second largest port for foreign trade. The City's emblems, as every child knows, are the 'Bremer Stadtmusikanten' or the Bremen Town Musicians from Grimm's Fairytales. By the Town Hall you will find a statue of those animals (a Donkey, a Dog, a Cat and a Rooster). Supposedly touching the Donkey should bring you a bit of luck! Another main attraction is the Roland Statue that stands proud at 10 meters high in the market square. Next to this, Bremen Cathedral, that still gloriously watches over the former harbour city. South of the market you will find the 'Schnoorviertal' a district that remains as it was centuries ago. An area that is full of narrow, winding streets and old timber houses. On the edge of the city you will find the former city wall that is now used a recreation park. Along the 'Schlachte' or the waterside promenade you will find the maritime nightlife. This approximately 600 meter long promenade follows the River Weser and is a popular hangout for locals. Here you will discover both on the promenade and on the water a wide variety of bars, restaurants and theatres. It is worth your while visiting this area during the day because you will find many events going on and this is the starting point for many boat tours. The 'Schlachte' is a must-see and must-do during your visit to Bremen.

Central location
Stayed here with my 2 teenage kids in late June. Excellent location, near the park and only about 5-10 minutes to city centre (Town square, department stores). Central Train station can be easily managed on foot (15 mins). From Airport 15 mins. tram-ride and then 5-10 mins on foot. Aldi supermarket close enough. The back-street surroundings of the apartment are a bit off-putting at first, but I must say it was very quiet and being at the back of mainly businesses meant that there wasn't much of footfall/traffic. The apartment was very clean, had all facilities as described and was spacious enough for all 3 of us. Brilliant to have a washing machine - but a clothes horse would have been of benefit. However, we used the heated towel rail in bathroom to dry everything. Downside, towels and pillows were a bit dated and could do with an up-grade. The springs of matrass of sofa/daybed in the living room were quite "pronounced" but we covered it with a spare duvet and then it was ok. There was a separate guest-bed which we could have used instead, but that would have filled-up the living room. Also, it would have been nice to have some adjustable office blinds or even net-curtains for privacy. It was fine because we were out most of the day, so we let down the roller blinds completely. But it meant we always had to have the lights on when inside. Internet worked well. We didn't use the TV at all.
