The cigarrales have been, fundamentally since the 19th century, stately recreational estates located on the banks of the Tagus River as it passes through Toledo. Constituted by a large plot of land with a main house for the owners' recreational residence and a secondary one that used to be the permanent residence of the cigar makers (guardians of the estate). The room offered is occupying the second floor of the old cigar house and a rehabilitated oil mill. It has an independent entrance and is accessed from an outdoor terrace. Outside you can enjoy a terrace with excellent views, large garden and pool, in addition to all the land belonging to the farm. Also, this unique tourist accommodation is perfectly equipped. Includes kitchen utensils and dishes, bath and bed linen with duvets and pillows. It has internet connection, LED TV, air conditioning hot / cold and cot. No bachelor parties or parties of any kind are allowed. ENVIRONMENT The cigarral where our stay is located, is located at the beginning of the alley of the Bastida, a rural road that joins the south bank of the Tagus at the height of the old San Martín Bridge and the pine forest of the Bastida where a small hermitage of the 16th century that shares the name with said pinewood. You can access the historic center of Toledo on foot in just fifteen minutes as the cigarral is facing the city, in front of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. The farm has an area of three hectares. It has a typically Mediterranean vegetation in which olive, almond, oak, fig, fruit, thyme, rosemary, cornicabras predominate and has trails and walks that you can travel during your stay with us. In addition, you can enjoy exclusive views of the historic center as well as impressive sunsets at any time of the year. PLACES OF INTEREST 10 minutes from the new PUY DU FOU (TOLEDO) CULTURAL TOURISM Toledo is a World Heritage City since 1986, and as Ortega y Gasset said: "From everywhere and in all its points, Toledo is amazing and excessive." Get to know the city and visit monuments and museums such as the Cathedral, the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, the Synagogues of Transit and Santa María la Blanca, the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz, Casa del Greco or the painting of the Burial of the Count Orgaz, or simply getting lost in the streets of the historic center will be one of the best options during your stay with us. ENVIRONMENTAL TOURISM Toledo has an Ecological Path that runs along the entire Tagus River as it passes through the city from the San Martín Bridge to the Alcantara Bridge. Our tourist accommodation is a perfect starting point for this 5 km walk from which you can enjoy activities such as fishing or bird watching as well as tranquility and the typical nature of the area. During your stay with us you can also do sports such as horse riding, golf or paragliding without any problem since the necessary facilities and schools are located a few kilometers from the city.
