Excellent stay, would highly recommend
We visited Rome as a family of 5 for the first time. Giacomo was excellent in communication building up to the trip, and because he would be away during our trip linked us up with Raffaele, who turned out to be very helpful, welcoming us on the day, offering tips and advice for places to visit, and responding quickly when we had an issue with the WiFi in the apartment. The apartment is in a classic block. The children loved accessing the apartment via the traditional lift! The air conditioning made a huge difference for us, meaning we could be out in the heat of the day (mid 30’s C), and quickly cool off when back, meaning we all slept well! We also found another apartment host on the ground floor additionally helpful in offering advice about accessing the local area. The apartment is secure, with good locks on the door. We found the apartment to be clean and well maintained in preparation for our stay, with perfectly adequate facilities for our family (2 adults, 3 children ages 17, 15, 8). We stayed for 8 nights. There were one or two nights where there was a lot of movement in the apartment above us which created the sound of dragging of furniture across the wooden floor. However, this didn’t last long and wouldn’t put us off coming again; the otherwise great facilities, location and price far outweigh this minor & temporary issue. The location was perfect - local shops for all the things we needed for our stay, and a fantastic ice cream shop literally on the corner of our block! We walked to all of the places we wanted to visit, including the colosseum, which I think was about 40 mins walk; on the way back you don’t notice it as you can stop off in the city centre for food/drink. (By the way get to the colosseum early both from the perspective of not being out in the heat if you’re queuing and if you pre-book you need to arrive ahead of your slot, which we didn’t and I think we were lucky to still get in for our time slot!) Rome really is a beautiful place to visit if you are looking for fantastic & historic architecture, a bustling vibrant cultural experience, with great food! *there is a negative review (Oct 2019, 2 stars), which is think is completely out of keeping with our experience, and the experience of others who have left reviews. We found the host to be highly responsive to any concerns we had and would recommend to all visitors to communicate concerns with the host at the time they arise.

Disappointing
I fail to see how this apartment has such good reviews and ratings after experiencing a recent stay of 22 nights .I found the property to be dirty and in need of a major refurbishment . The existing photos , description and reviews do not reflect the condition of this apartment at this time and it was a disappointment in what was an excellent trip to Rome . The dirty, damaged interior walls are badly marked and stained with liquid spills . The ceilings are severely cracked , patched and unpainted in several places . Both bathroom showers contain areas of black mould, poor condition fittings and missing doors . The urine stained toilet seats are in need of replacement . The flooring is uneven throughout and missing at a step in one of the bedrooms . The double glazed windows are mostly stained inside , the couch is in desperate need of new covers and the shelves are littered with old books. The kitchen bench top is in poor condition and a rotting pumpkin was discovered on the dust covered range hood in amongst the 20 or so plastic plants that grace the room . The internet connection was slow and non existent for several days at a time , and I discovered that there was no safety deposit box or toaster as listed . There are no smoke alarms , fire extinguisher , or fire escape in this apartment which is accessed by a single stair well with an antique elevator at its centre . However , its not all bad . I found the location good for walking to most places and the nearest underground train station with ease .The owner is friendly and was good enough to allow a late checkout as well as organising airport transfers . If this property was given the maintenance it requires I would certainly recommend it to other travellers but until then you will be disappointed .

Dear Guest, I believe you were overly strict in writing your opinions. All other reviews give a completely different opinion. Obviously I will take into great consideration all the comments received to improve. I take this opportunity to invite future guests to immediately report any malfunction or problem without waiting for the end of the stay. For me it is very important that the apartment you rent will help make your holidays unforgettable and certainly not ruin them.

A lovely apartment in a great location.
This is our first visit to Rome so we weren’t sure where to stay. However on arrival all such thoughts vanished as the apartment is in a good neighbourhood and well situated for the Vatican, Villa Borghese and shopping along Via del Corso. The other sights are walkable or you can catch the bus a couple of blocks away. The apartment was well set up and very comfortable for our three family members. We ate in some nights and went out locally on others. Giacomo was ready to greet us at the arranged time and answered any queries. With a fabulous gelato shop downstairs what else could you want?

What more could you ask for: a great space in a perfect location!
Giacomo gave us great information on preparing for the trip and welcomed us. Lovely rooms, and the best gelato just seconds away from the front door! Would definitely stay there again.

Great apartment, perfect location
I’d say previous reviews are pretty accurate. The apartment is in the perfect location to walk to all the sites. Giacomo was quick to answer questions, was there to greet us upon arrival, replace towels, and arrange airport private transfer for us. He had recommendations and info about using appliances in a binder for us. Beds were comfortable but the secondary bedroom could have used a couple of extra pillows like the master had. It looked like the apartment would be getting a paint job soon because we noticed some patchwork repairs on a couple of ceiling areas in the secondary room and the master bath. Otherwise the apartment was clean and spacious enough for two couples. I believe the couch was a pullout bed but we didn’t use it. It was perfect for hanging out and relaxing after long days of site seeing. If you like coffee in the morning you’ll have to purchase it yourself from the grocery or there is a great coffee bar around the corner for about 1 euro per cappuccino. Don’t skip the gelato shop downstairs. Of all the places we’ve had gelato in Italy it was the absolute best!

Great host, great apartment
Giacomo was a fabulous host. We found him informative, accomodating & extremely helpful. The apartment was bright, clean and had everything we needed for our family of 5. It is within walking distance of many of the attractions & if you don’t feel like walking the Metro & Buses are just around the corner. There are lots of restaurants in the area if eating out & a supermarket close by if you would prefer to eat in. It was perfect for our stay 6 night stay in Rome.

This place has it all! Location and fabulously appointed...
I have had many stays in Rome and Dedalo apartment was the best in every way. First, the owner Giacomo, was highly responsive with all communication, and accommodating with an early check in. The apartment was well appointed, spotless and location was superb. First time staying in the Prati area and it was fabulous. Close to everything, yet out of the hustle bustle of Rome. The apartment was surprisingly quiet for its location. Great beds and showers. I would definitely recommend and stay again.
