A week in Valpolicella
The cosy house with large enclosed garden proved to be an excellent choice. There were several good restaurants within walking distance. Lake Garda was easily reachable. There were also wine tasting opportunities within easy walking distance.

Unique romantic Location in the heart of Valpolicella
Once we actually found the house, we were pleasantly surprised with this location. Unfortunately our GPS only provides co-ordinates once you are at a location, so it wound up being a little more difficult to find, and unfortunately Serena was not readily available. But after about an hour of searching around, we finally got there. The house itself is quaint, and really quite special. Because Serena was not available at all that day, it did take us a while to figure several aspects of the house, and it took half way through our three day visit before the internet connection was working. But, setting aside those things, when we did meet Serena, she was excellent, and provided us with good information about the area. There are lots of good vineyards wineries in the immediate area. There are also lots of unique little towns and we were very happy with our stay. It is only a 20 minute drive into Verona. Other than the fact that it was a little more challenging to get settled in, this was a great location, The property itself is very relaxing, very traditional, and makes you feel like you are really part of the area. We would certainly stay here again.

Lovely little house in the heart of Valpolicella
We spent two nights at this cottage in late October. It's in a perfect quiet location in the middle of Valpolicella countryside, surrounded by vineyards and within 10-15 minute drive of a selection of excellent restaurants (Osteria N. 1; El Pendola; Petra Antica in the town iteslf was great for pizza; La Dolce Linea nearby was perfect for breakfast...). The house is neat and very clean and nicely decorated. It's clear that the owner takes great pride in this place and she's done a great job with it. That said, it was a bit tricky with a 5-year old child. The house is very tiny and there's a circular cast-iron staircase from downstairs kitchen/dining room to upstairs bedroom. The extra pull-out sofa/bed for the child is downstairs, and as our daughter wakes up a couple of times a night we didn't want to leave her downstairs and try to manoeuvre up and down the stairs in the middle of the night, so we took her in to bed with us. The bed is fine for two but is a bit tight when it's two adults and a child. One last thing to add is that we had trouble getting online. The internet router is either very weak or the signal in general is very poor. And one does need internet access to research surrounding restaurants and sights! But that's a minor inconvenience and is made up for by surrounding scenery and a big garden in front of the house. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and would love to come back (only if we are travelling just the two of us).

Dear Eugeny and Polina, thank you so much to you both for the nice words about our rustic home, Ca'Spina. I am so pleased you enjoy your short holiday here in Valpolicella. I hope that you will be back, maybe also when Amelia will have a few more years ;-) Thank you for your time and your kindness. Best wishes and CIAO Serena.

Perfect in every way
We stayed at Ca'Spina for a week in May 2013 and had a lovely time. The villa is perfectly located in the wine region so easy access to some very good wineries. Sufficiently close to Venice that we drove there. Verona is about 15 minutes away. Some fantastic restaurant close by. The villa itself is very cosy and ideal for a couple or a small family. There were three of us (2 adults and our 7 year old som). Every convenience you might need for a stay in provided and there is a big supermarket nearby for extras etc. There is a lovely big garden with olive trees and rose bushes. The house is beautifully done up.The host,Serena, is lovely and always on hand if you need anything. Best of all,it was very relaxing listening to the birds singing all day long especially as we sat outside soaking up the sun on the terrace with a glass of prosecco. We have come back refreshed and relaxed having had a perfect holiday in a perfect villa.
