Though in the heart of the exciting ancient quarter of the city, as soon as you enter the palazzo you find a tranquil courtyard with a Baroque fountain and a shady tree, something that you would share only with the other residents of the palazzo, your hosts included. Coming out of the Palazzo, and in front of another one, you would be at comfortable walking distance to all the principal attractions, including the church of San Francesco d'Assisi and the Oratorio di San Lorenzo down the road, the Historical Markets Vucciria, Ballarò and Capo, the Opera, the main museums as Palazzo Abatellis, Private Palazzos now opened to the public such as Palazzo Mirto down the road, or Palazzo Ganci at 3 minutes walk, sunny Piazzas as Piazza Marina and Piazza san Domenico, the sea promenade in the ancient port called the 'Cala', the shady tropical trees in the Giardino Garibaldi, Villa Giulia or the Botanical Gardens, the shops of Sicilian Arts and Crafts (mainly leather and hats but also vintage, new craftsmanship and design), theatres, cafes and restaurants, wine and night Bars. The supermarket is at 2 minutes walk, a Sicilian deli down the road. An hairdresser is on the same street. A car is not required to visit the historic centre but if you are willing to take a car with you there is a convenient pay park in the nearby via Garibaldi (at number 41). The palazzo is at walking distance from the Central Railway Station. We can book you a taxi transfer from the airport and/or a rental car directly delivered at the palazzo on the day that you require. We can also hire for you a tourist guide, a cook, a dayly cleaner, a baby sitter, the hairdresser, even a makeup artist More

Interaction with guests
I check them in. Not always out, but I always say goodbye. I usually try and give information on the city using a map when I check them in and if there was not enough time always try and meet them aggain. They know were i leave inside the same palazzo and can come and look for me or phone or text or whats app me whenever they need me. If I don't hear from them I usually at least send a text to see if they are happy and ask if they are free to meet me and ask for extra info

Luna's place is like stepping back in time and entering a quiet sanctum in a busy city. The location is prime for all things in Palermo and easy to travel to other areas of Sicily. We stayed for a week, really enjoyed the space of...More

About the neighbourhood
The house is in one of the ancient quarters within the historic centre Between Piazza Marina and Piazza San Francesco, near the Cala (the old port), and the ancient market of the Vucciria, not far at all from the Station and the Bothanical Gardens. The area is very lively both during the day and at night. However, inside the palazzo one enters another world, a world of peace where the time seems to have stopped. Not only over twenty major monuments and sites, but also a supermarket, the ancient market, an organic-deli mini market, a couple of corner shops, a hairdresser, different typical-Sicilian-craft shops, different cafes, restaurants and night bars are at a few minutes distance (we talk 2 minutes, if you walk further there will be more... and we are looking forward to on our favourites as soon as you arrive).
How to get there
The Best way to get here from the airport is the Bus 'Prestia e Comande' to the Stazione Centrale. From there you should walk to via Roma, the main road in front of the facade of the station, then take the 7th right (on the left of LIDL), walk accross the fountain in the middle of Piazza Rivoluzione, into via Alessandro Paternostro and then take the 2nd right: via Lungarini. The palazzo is the third large one on the right-hand side, at number 60. If you prefere, you can also get a taxi (it must ask you 45 euros by law, if it asks for more let them know you are aware of the law), or a taxi share (not available at late hours). You can also book a trusted taxi in advance in advance through us and if he is available we'll send them to you
