EXTERNAL DESCRIPTION

The Apartment is located in Via dei Servi, one of the most characteristic and evocative streets of Florence, between Piazza Duomo and Piazza S.S. Annunziata, two of the most beautiful squares of Florence. It is placed at the beginning of the street at very few steps from the Cathedral, in the pedestrian area surrounding the Duomo and the inner historical core of the city. The main artistic sites are very close to Via dei Servi and reachable on foot in few minutes, also is the railway station.The Apartment is located at the second floor (it corresponds to the third one in american designation) in an ancient building provided with an elevator very useful for people and suitcases. The building dated back the Renaissance period, it has been renovated in last years, preserving the original elements of the ancient florentine houses of the Renaissance. The Bargellini-Guarnieri Catalogue describes the building as simple but provided with "delicate cornici" on the facade. It has been built over more ancient houses owned by the Tedaldi family and in the middle of XVI Century it was owned by the florentine Biffi family, from which its name "Casa dè Biffi". Later, the building was owned by the Pagani family. At the level of the second floor the facade is decorated with a coat of arms, maybe coming from the Pagani family.

INTERNAL DESCRIPTION

The Apartment contains 1 double Bedroom (memory foam mattress equipped, exceptionally comfortable) and 1 complete Bathroom. It is 56 mq wide (538 sqft) and the ceiling, 3.5 meters height (11.5 ft), is built with the original wooded beam, now repainted in white to make the environment up to date and bright. Furniture is a comfortable classic stylish set: many elements and chandeliers are from the owners who lived in as a part of a wider property; they are authentic pieces from italian manufacturing. The entrance is on the Living containing a classic white bookshelf, the sofà and a wall mounted TV. A big French Window opens on a small balcony on the internal court. A classical design carpet, by modern hypoallergenic production, enhance the environment. Then, a big squared archway leads in the Dining area containing a walnut big round table over which is suspended an old Capodimonte Porcelain chandelier: one of the most fine pieces in the apartment. On the walls: a woman face italian engraving, a small tapestry on the table and a french engraving reproducing the Florence Baptistery, in the neighboring Piazza Duomo, hence the name of the apartment.In front of the Dining area there is the kitchen, fully equipped and stocked with new quality appliances: gas stove, extractor fan, traditional oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and many optionals (plates, pots, cutlery, glasses, cups, kettle, drip coffee maker, toaster and others). It also contains a washing/dryer machine by Siemens.The Bedroom furniture come from the owner family. It is composed of very fine pieces of italian handcraft deriving from the central part of Italy. On the wall, over the head bed, is placed a big italian tapestry. A modern lamp by Kartell, on the top of the chest of drawers, lends transparency and a suggestive light to the environment. The big wardrob is a fine piece of italian artcraft. Up to 3 people can stay comfortably in, and it is perfect for a couple.

NOTES

- CHECKIN/CHECKOUT DAYS. It is possible to Check in or Check out in any day of the year, with the following exception: 25th, 26th and 31th of December; 1st of January; each Easter Sunday. It is possible to arrive before and to leave after these dates.
- CHECKIN/CHECKOUT HOURS. Check in is between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm on appointment. Check out is before 10.00 am. If needed and if possible we can establish a different time.
- CITY TAX: at the moment, €2.5/person/night for the first 7 nights; it will be paid Euro cash at Check in.
- DAMAGE DEPOSIT. A refundable security Deposit of $ 300 is managed and refunded by the site.
- RENTAL AGREEMENT. A rental agreement, valid by italian laws and fiscal rules, will be signed in double copy by the owner and one of the guests at Check in.

Eleonora personally meets the guests at their arrival, explaining the apartment feautures and their use. Moreover, giving them directions about living the city during the stay. Suggesting authentic local restaurants, and markets and a few authentic florentine shops. Available during the stay for any additional information and any need.

“A wonderful place to stay in Florence”

My husband and I stayed in Eleonora’s beautiful apartment for a week in early June. Eleonora was warm, friendly and helpful and greeted us with a lovely bottle of local wine.She gave us lots of useful information about authentic restaurants, local supermarkets and things to do and see. There are two great things about this apartment, the location which really can't be bettered for a short city break and Eleanora who is a mind of information. “Beautiful apartment, excellent location”

Ekenora was very polite and accommodating. She took time to explain everything in the apt. It was very clean and we'll supplied. The location us great, so many shops and restaurants , and the duomo is just down the corner. We had a wonderful 4 nights.
