Located in the historic center of Assisi, overlooking the Rocca Maggiore and Minor, it overlooks the Roman amphitheater ... the old sources. The house is located 5 minutes walk from the Piazza del Comune (city center) the Minerva, from the cathedral of San Rufino and Santa Chiara and a 10-minute walk from the Basilica of San Francesco, a 30-minute walk to 5 minutes by car from the Eremo delle Carceri.
Characteristic fully furnished house arranged in three floors with two double bedrooms, one with a bunk bed, a double bedroom with large wardrobe, flat screen televisions in the living room and two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one of which is inside the bedroom with a bed bunk with sink and toilet, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Spacious, well equipped, very relaxing
We stayed in this charming place for two nights on our recent trip through Italy, and both felt that we could have stayed much longer- it was such a comfortable place to be.Very clean and well stocked. Everything we needed in the kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms (3) Two bathrooms, which was very convenient for us. Close enough to everything that we were able to walk to the Basilica and to the historic centre of town. It was a walk, to be sure. We are two seniors, but I'm sure this house would be excellent for families.Our host, who we never met with in person, was very helpful, communicative, and answered any questions we had as well as offering some very good suggestions. There is parking available close to the house, but again- a bit of a walk. Assisi is a magical town, and this is a magical property that I would be happy to stay in again, if I am ever lucky enough to do so. The only issue, and it wasn't a problem for us, would be the stairs. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs and one is down stairs so if that is a problem this place might not suit.
