Region: Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
Town: Mawnan Smith on the northern banks of the Helford estuary is a great base to explore all of west and central Cornwall. It is a small village with a popular 17th Century 'thatched' pub (the Red Lion), restaurant and shops, also a working forge and craft centre. Developed as a distribution centre for goods and produce for the Lizard Peninsula. With the village acting as a staging post for materials that were to be ferried across the Helford River - to the Lizard Peninsula. The "Old Smithy" has recently been restored by the Anvil Trust, to recreate a working smithy in the village. Mawnan Smith is close to Maenporth Beach and the Helford Estuary ideally situated in a quiet Corner of Cornwall, with Falmouth town centre, Harbour and Attractions nearby.
The Pig House is part of a small barn development which is absolutely beautiful. The property is very stylishly furnished and the spacious kitchen is extremely well equipped. The bathrooms are large, lots of big fluffy white towels and super king , super comfy beds. The hot tub was a delight in the sun drenched private garden. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend.

Jaw dropping accommodation
When entering the pig house all of our jaws dropped, it was even better than the pictures. The bedrooms are all a great size and the beds were very comfy. Everything you need was given to you at the pig house, the only thing we did miss was an iron. The sheltered hot tub was a treat and the built in speakers were a great addition. The beach of Maenporth was 35 minute walk.

Wonderful self-catering accomodation
Beautiful barn conversion with everything you could wish for. Family really enjoyed the hot-tub in the sunny private garden. Three good sized bedrooms to sleep up to 6 people. Two en-suite.
Very good Covid precautions in place. Excellent location - quiet,but close to Falmouth. Highly recommended.

The pig barn
We had a wonderful week at the pig barn, Boskensoe barns in Mawnan smith. The actual barn Itself was so beautiful, in fact it was better than in the pictures. Very modern but with a homely feel to it and it was spotlessly clean. The property was finished to a really high standard. The owners were very friendly and helpful and onsite if needed. Loved the hot tub and private barbecue garden area. We didn’t want to leave ! We will be back as it’s a little gem of a place
