From the upper deck, at night the waves sound as if they are lightly lapping the bottom of the house! This charming home is on high ground, does not flood, and has withstood storms just fine! We are near popular restaurants, two of which are an easy walk away in the subdivision (one restaurant is very beach bar casual, and the other is upscale). Adventure in Galveston through a short drive to Pleasure Pier, The Strand (downtown Galveston), Moody Gardens, spas, golf, mini golf, a large multiplex movie theater, Schlitterbahn Galveston Island (the only indoor, heated year-round water park in Texas; the outdoor water park areas are open through October), museums, great restaurants and nightlife spots, fishing and other water sports and activities, and so much more. There is plenty of parking in the long, double sided driveway, including shaded under the house. Very safe neighborhood. Next to the Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary. Please note that smoking is only allowed outside, including E-Cigs. If you need the house deallergen treated before arrival, please let us know - this is included at no additional charge and has been effective for those with severe allergies. Pets and service animals are allowed, with advanced approval and payment of a $150 non-refundable fee (for one animal; additional preapproved animals are $75 each). Please respect that service animals are welcome on equal levels as other animals but qualify for no FHA or AHA rights, or for rights under any other guidelines, in this private home. * * * * * * * * * ROOM AND RATE DETAILS: $264 per night ($336 per night March - August).
